Important Information about your online security. This is general information for online safety that applies not only to this forum, but to anywhere online.

1. Do not list any personal contact details anywhere online, this includes forums, chat rooms, profiles, and personal websites.

2. Do not post a photograph of yourself or family anywhere online that is publically accessible.

3. Do not choose a username or email address that contains your surname.

4. Do not post photos of your car or house that would allow someone to make an identification of your location.

5. If you are ever contacted via email, private message, regular snail mail or fax, retain copies.

Yeah, I am in flagrant violation of Rule #2

But, it is so easy to feel too comfortable and get a little loose with the information on these boards. Everyone needs to be careful.

You are right Erika, I've noticed quite a few members, who have given out way too many clues and hints about themselves, that could easily be used for sinister purposes.
