Old Resort Mugs

We seem to just barely have missed the resort specific mugs on our last trip. When we went in April, the TV screens in the food court still featured the mugs which said Port Orleans on them, but the ones available for purchase were the new generic ones. So apparently, we only missed them by a few weeks or so.

My question is, is there any way to order one of the old ones? I don't know if they sold all the old stock before stocking the new ones, or if they boxed up all the old ones when they decided to switch, and immediately started stocking the new ones. If they boxed up the existing supply, what did they do with them? Destoy them? Send them back to the manufacturer? Put them back in the stockroom for anyone who adamately insists on having this one and not the new one?

Any CM's here know if there are any old, unsold ones lingering around somewhere or if there is any way to order one?

I am not sure I understand, the mugs are now NOT resport specific?

They have generic mugs now?

I haven't been to WDW in a year but last time I was there AS had AS mugs.

Yes, some time in the last couple of months, they switched to generic "Where Dreams Come True" mugs with the castle in the clouds logo, rather than the nifty resort-specific mugs.

To the OP, I think they did sell out of the old ones before putting the new ones out. You could maybe try checking eBay? I'm hoping that now that they've gotten rid of the Disney Parks thing, they'll go back to the resort-specific mugs.

I was looking forward to getting the tie-dyed mugs from Pop when we were there in April but, all they had was the "year of a million dreams" mugs. The new ones are really nice and we bought four but, i think they should give people a choice between the special "dreams" mugs or the ones that are resort specific.

Your best bet is most likely Ebay.

I saw a woman with a DIXIE LANDINGS mug in, of all places, Atlantic City. I was very close to asking her how much she wanted for it, but I held back.

We were at the Poly late April into early May, and they had a TON of resort specific ones for sale at Captain Cook's. In the parks, though, we saw a lot of people with the YOMD ones. I asked a woman in line ahead of me where she got hers, and she said at her resort, Pop Century. So it would seem each resort sold their own until they were gone, then switched to the generic ones.
