Yes -- there is a walkway that starts at Building 55 and it is a long (1 mile) horrible walk --- it is not lit at night, and it is not advisable.

While i agree that walking is not a good idea, there IS a paved path.

Thanks. We stayed at Saratoga Srings and walked to DTD but coming back we waited forever for a bus. I figured it would be easier to walk??

You can also take the boat from OKW to DTD.

Saratoga Springs is a totally different animal when it comes to this. You can easily walk back and forth between SSR and DTD/DS because of the foot bridge and everything. We did so last fall. It's especially convenient if staying in the Congress Park section of SSR.

Anyway, I wouldn't walk regardless. As Tuvulu said there is also boats available from OKW.

Forget the bus, take the advice of @Tuvalu and take the boat. It is a fun, scenic trip.

Yes the boat is a nice relaxing ride over. And usually faster than the busses

I also love the boat -- BUT at Old key West, if the Downtown Disney bus comes at your stop first -- use it -- Otherwise you have to wait for a bus to go to Hospitality House, and then wait for the water taxi...you'll already be at DTD by that point...
