Sad to hear that 50s-60s icon Bobby Rydell passed away this week. On our drive down to Wildwood every summer I would make it a point to have his hit song "Wildwood Days" queued up and ready to blast as we rolled down Rio Grand Ave. entering the seaside town. Lots of great memories. I can almost smell the briny scent of the ocean and all of the food stands on the boardwalk with that ocean breeze always rolling in.
On a lighter note, Macks Pizza opened last weekend and my wife's favorite food stand on the boardwalk, Curley's Fries opens this weekend. Is it worth a 3.5 hour drive to Wildwood ? Yes it is.
