Fireworks Photo Contest

Contest Description: Enter your photo of fireworks at a Disney Park or Resort.

Have a question? Feel free to ask.
Don't have a photo to contribute? Wait until voting starts and vote for your favorite photo!

Official Contest Rules
The rules will be very similar as previous years.
Contests will run from Saturday-Friday 11:59pm PACIFIC TIME, submissions after this time will not be included. An individual thread will be created for each contest. My intention is to open new contests and post polls on Saturday mornings. I hope to be able to stick to that, pending any unforeseen circumstances.

1 submission per member, per contest. Once you post your picture, you cannot replace it. You cannot re-use the same entry in multiple contests even if used in a different year. Obviously I cannot remember every picture posted in a contest so try your best to remember if you have entered a picture.

Pictures can be taken with any type of camera (film or digital).

Pictures can not be altered in any way, except to adjust size or add your own personal watermark. This is a photography contest, not a photo-editing contest.

Please resize pictures to be no larger than 1024x768 OR 768X1024

Please do not attach the photo to your post. Upload it to your own personal site and link the photo. You are responsible to ensure the photo is viewable at all times (and not subject to bandwidth limitations).

Pictures can be taken at any time for any contest (if you visited in April of 2002, you can use those pictures for any contest that interests you).

Pictures must be taken by the member submitting the entry, and not by a family member or by a cast member (meaning you physically have to take the entry. CM’s are of course allowed to enter their own photos).

If 10 or less people participated, 1 poll will be posted, and it will be open for 7 days.
If more than 10 entries exist, the entries will be divided into similar-sized groups, and will be listed in the order that they were submitted.

No breaking of park rules or common etiquette to take your pictures. (No accessing restricted areas, no flash photography on attractions which do not allow it....stuff like that)

The overall subject of the contest is "Disney". Although some contests are specific to areas of Walt Disney World, anything "Disney related" can be taken for other contests, including, but not limited to, other Disney parks. For contests like the "Fantasyland photo contest", any Disney park's Fantasyland would be accepted. Some contests allow photos not taken on Disney property and this is noted in the topic description.

I was wrong! That picture was taken with my Sony A6000. It was taken a week ago at Illuminations. At first I was thinking that was when I had my phone watching HEA. They look so similar. I need to work on shooting fireworks. Here's my HEA shot on my phone.

Sorry, I know it doesn't count for the contest.

That is an awesome shot. Most of the photos of yours I thought were shot with a DSLR, by the look. You have some very nice photos. This year I am thinking of bringing my tripod to WDW. I have been playing with my tripod and a 6 stop ND filter with the fireworks around where I live. I have been having some success with it. I also have a 10 stop ND I want to try with fireworks.

Thanks. When I was looking a little more in depth into photography @fractal really helped by answering some questions and I chose the Sony over a DSLR. I'm very happy with my choice so far. I still have a long way to go.

I would love to have a day a Disney to just take photos of everything I could and possibly bring a tripod. I just don't think that will happen for a while unless I get to go on a solo trip . Make sure you post lots of pictures if you take your tripod. I'm sure the pics would be phenomenal. I never get tired of looking at Disney photos!

CoreNovawarAMM, that looks like a pirate pillage scene. It is eerily cool.

I hope you have that chance. When we visit it is just my wife and myself and she doesn't mind me taking photo's. She knows it is my passion. I really just started taking WDW photos last year with our September and December visit. This year will hopefully be my first year with a tripod. I have to convince my wife I need another one. My current one is much to large to carry all day. My bag already weighs around 30 pounds so I need a good travel pod. I am looking at the Mefoto Globetrotter.

The A6000 is an amazing camera and can take wonderful pictures as yo have proven. Plus the size makes it nice to carry when at the parks all day.

I too never tire of Disney photos, I always seem to find new things in the photo when looking through them. So keep yours coming.

Anybody remember Magic, Music, and Mayhem? That was my absolute favorite firework show. I love that the castle was actually a character in that one.

I never experienced it in person, I remember seeing a video from a relative. If I remember correctly this was an event show. It was the MK pirate party. Is that correct? It was an amazing fireworks show and that was just from a video.

Pirate and Princess Party. I also remember a special showing of it one July. We never went in July but made an exception to see those fireworks.
