Odyssey center?

At EPCOT does anyone have news on what's going on at the Odyssey area? When did that restraunt close?

Did a search -- but the threads are old; no one will say when it closed.

It opened in 82 & closed in 95. Now its used for private functions. :wave:

Yep, thats our path of choice. I only had the chance to eat in the Odyssey once, in 92.

There are also restrooms and a baby station location inside the Odyssey. You can even see into part of the old restaurant (at least you could the last time I looked!)

I remember eating at the Odyssey for lunch years ago and the characters (Mickey, Minne, Goofy & Pluto) came out and did a little stage show. After their show they walked around to the tables for photos and autographs. I have never seen this again at any of the counter service restaurants. Perhaps character dining has taken it's place as this was in the mid to late 80's. Does anyone else remember this?

the mens room has been really bad the last few times i was there, alot of puddles in there. and puddles in a bathroom aren't good, but i was wearing sandals and i really had to tinkle. i ran to that fountain that you can walk in.

I remember that as well. We were hot & tired & ducked inside just as the show was starting. :sohappy:

I swear that it was closed in October 93'. I remember walking the path and wondering why there was this large building that was nearly vacant sitting here with only a first aid station sign on it. :veryconfu

I will have to see if I can dig up the map for Epcot from that trip.
