Not to make anyone jealous, but

I just went on mydisneyexperience.com and it said this: My Plans — 16 days to go. Now I have a question for Christmas Day, I've got Be Our Guest booked for 12 noon, but hear from some people their lunch isn't that great (couldn't get dinner reservations). We wanted LTT for dinner, but could only get it at 4:40 p.m. and have previously booked Tony's for 8:10 p.m. I'm thinking 12 noon and 4:40 is too close, so should I just cancel LTT (and make someone else happy) and keep Tony's for dinner? If we are able to sit outside at Tony's would we be able to see the parade from there? It starts at 9, right? And should I cancel lunch at Be Our Guest???

We'll be there the same day and have a lunch res for LTT with dinner at BOG. We've done all three meals at BOG and liked them all. The food at lunch is nothing special, but it's as good as anything else in MK.

I'd keep trying for BOG dinner if you really want it, as people make multiples and then cancel. In fact, my wife made several BOG reservations for around dinner that day (I know, ADR hog ) and will be cancelling 2 of them some time between now and then. If you want, I can let you know before she does, so you can try and grab one of them.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
We love lunch and dinner at BOG. Purely your personal decision though and may be hard to get anything else that day at this point.
Also I prefer LTT at lunch because it's a regular menu not a family style meal. :)

IMO, BOG dinner is a far better experience than BOG lunch and, again IMO, most anything else is as good or better than a BOG lunch. If you've never experienced BOG then take what you can get but we did not enjoy the two lunch experiences we had at BOG. Felt more like a crowded mall food court than an immersed dining experience.

Also, we'll be there with ya in 16 days!!

We have never done lunch at BOG So I can't speak to the food at that time. As for the dinner reservations, I would see about a later time for LTT. Out of the 3 you listed we enjoy the atmosphere of BOG but find the food to be better at LTT.

Just remember to get to the park EARLY!!! and plan to stay all day, otherwise you may end up missing your 12 and 4:40 reservations depending on the level of closure for the day. You should be good for the 8:10 as people will have started to clear out by then. Personally MK on Christmas day is one place I would not want to be. Been there and done that. :)

We loved our lunch at BOG - I hope you do, too! Also, the lunch offerings are not huge portions and there are some lighter options (AND you'll probably have a little bit of a wait before getting into your dinner ADR; at least in our experience, you always have to wait at LTT), so I don't think the close proximity of your ADRs will be a problem.

I'm jealous that you're going to WDW, but not jealous of the time you are visiting! Due to some hearing/sensory overload issues I have, crowds that heavy are my idea of Hell on earth. ;) That being said, I wish you a spectacular visit!

Just found this out recently. People that have table service reservations can get back in regardless of the level of closure. They will be allowed back in if they leave or show up just to go eat being they have the reservation. :)

At Phase #4 nobody gets in. I'm not sure what it takes to get to phase 4 but I don't think I want to find out, especially on Christmas day which is arguable the busiest day of the year.

I was aware of phase four but kinda forgot about it because have only seen it get up to phase three on Christmas (well maybe 4 once or twice looks like on here phase 4 it last happened in 2008/2009) or any other day. But yes it could happen of course. Lol So yes best bet is to stay. :)

Yes let me know if she cancels one. Would you say dinner at BOG is better than at Tony's?

We are gluttons for punishment. Was there Christmas '07, '08 and '09. It's my DH that wants to go then, and in the days the DSs were in high school. If I had known my younger DS was going to drop out of his classes this semester, I would have booked for earlier December.

LTT dinner is a family style meal. It is a LOT of food. If you really want to do LTT and can only get 4:40, then I recommend cancelling your noon lunch and eat a light breakfast and lunch. OTOH, if you really want BOG lunch, then cancel LTT dinner.

I've had breakfast and lunch at BoG, but not dinner. Both experiences were ok at best. The food isn't bad, but I don't like the free-for-all to find a table. I'd like to try dinner there sometime, but it isn't real high on my priority list right now..

There is a lot of hate out there for Tony's, which I don't understand. I enjoyed it. It isn't a top notch Italian, but it is a step above Olive Garden.

Liberty Tree dinner is one of our favorites, and we were disappointed that it was closed for the long reno when we were there last month, and to make it worse, it opened the day we flew home..
