Not a good Hollywood Studios Day Tuesday

and yet Friday was an amazing HS day. It’s like most people disappeared. On a Friday!

We did the unimaginable Friday and purchased a ILL for Rise, something I would never ever think of, but my wife talked me into it.

By the time my window opened, wait times were only 65. Close to 8:30, wait times dropped to 20 mins.

Smugglers run was 15-20 minutes for hours before close

It was a great place to be for last full day of vacation !

Everything was running.

Make no mistake, this is 100% WDW and Chapek's fault. Don't let them try to fool you. Last year, when Cedar Point was facing extreme staffing shortages, they made an unprecedented move to the minimum pay for new and existing staff to $20 an hour to get people in there. Disney has unprecedented guest demand and is jacking prices up, but yet, they're not willing to raise pay and is making life very unpleasant for the CMs. If Disney cared about guest experience and giving people what they paid for, they'd jack up pay to $25, and they'd still turn a cool profit.

And also make no mistake that the ride failures are a direct result of skimping on maintenance staffing. The more you invest in maintenance, the faster you can get rides back up.
