Not a bad day really

I was getting a bit tired of hearing about today being an 'evil' day and emails telling me the world was going to end today (why do people send those emails? do they expect us to reply and say 'well done, you were right'?)

I've actually had quite a good day. I got the results from the university, they have marked my dissertation and given me 82%, and then I got home from work at 3:00pm and laid around for the rest of the day. Now I am having a couple of quiet beers and playing on the internet. Oh yeah, and I am 'working from home' tomorrow, so I will have to be up by lunchtime!

Nice one on the dissertation. Were you affected by the Industrial Action?

No, I was lucky, the action didn't affect us. Our course is sponsored by the Home Office and is run as a distance learning course. I know a lot of universities have delayed results, but we have been ok. We have to complete the course in a tight deadline as we are employed and it is a contractual requirement that we pass on time, so delays would have caused lots of problems.
