NFL Pro Bowl to be in Orlando will effect WDW

Won't be an issue. The 5ks don't cause any road closures that a guest would notice. They can use any of the existing 5k courses in Epcot or AK, or setup a new one that never leaves WWoS.

WWoS has a cross country course used for high school events. Not sure how long it is. Goes through the woods. I'd actually like to run that course.

I honestly doubt the Pro Bowl will stay in Orlando because they tried moving it to Phoenix as well and the players were less than thrilled about it being there.

It's described as a "multi-year deal" so expect it to stay for at least 2-3 years I assume.

I'm planning to be at WDW from Jan 25 through Feb 06. I imagine the biggest impact will be on certain areas on the weekend. Mental note to avoid the parade day at MK and Disney Springs any time things are happening there.

Most people commenting haven't actually been to camping world ... The Citrus bowl.... The upgrades are a nice add and with the new soccer stadium and new revitalization of the area...They have been kicking the "element" out ... This is great for Orlando..... And for Disney.... Orlando sports fans rejoice they will sell out the event along with nfl fans.... The nfl will show a game on tv to a filled stadium and the narrative will do a 360

Yes, the citrus bowl is now a fantastic venue to be in now that its been renevated.

Press facilities & workrooms still aren't up to par tho.

This is not going to go well for the league. Sure it will be big for one or two years but the league is going to have to go 7 deep to find players willing to participate in this. Its bad enough the no one shows because the do it before the Superbowl.

Slight tangent, can anyone find me the Pro-Bowl play where they practically phoned it in and was almost in slow mo?

Yes, getting people to actually care will be a challenge....

Well, these guys are signed to non-guaranteed contracts and it's after the season has ended. No one wants to risk injury over a lousy exhibition game. Millions upon millions are on the line if someone were to get seriously injured.

Exactly. Football is all about profits.... Seeing what goes on behind the curtain makes Disney's business ethics look pure altruistic....

I follow the wife of a childhood hero of mine from the bills. Its Darryl Tally's wife, she's witty as anyone that I follow regularly but when this announcement came out she had that same opinion. Players actually saw the trip to Hawaii as a treat. A trip to Orlando is going to be a very hard sell for them.

He also played when the pro bowl was after the super bowl so you have two things going against them.
