Players accused of far less were immediately placed on the commissioner exempt list and suspended. Watson has 22 civil suits pending, 10 criminal complaints and is being investigated by the human trafficking task force. Yet he is still eligible to play and the only reason he isn’t playing is because he doesn't want to play for Houston. That’s an NFL credibility issue.

The other reason he isn't playing is Houston is waiting to see if there are charges. The NFL is happy to just wait and see since the team has not tried to play him anyway. But the NFL has long had a credibility issue related more to how a pot smoker is treated worst that an abuser. That said I wasn't sure what it has to do with Gruden.

We will never know what Houston’s intentions are about playing Watson until he decides he will play. The only reason he isn’t playing right now is because he is choosing not to. And that’s why the NFL has a credibility issue. Considering past penalties and suspensions, they shouldn’t be “happy to just wait and see.”

The comment was made “you reap what you sow.” That’s not the case in the NFL. That’s what it has to do with Gruden. One way or another, there isn’t consistency. Gruden was going to be suspended by the NFL once the emails hit the public eye,( even though they were aware of several of his other emails a while back…more credibility issues) there’s no doubt, and then fired…regardless of what the experts were predicting.

Well that is similar to saying we will never know the intentions of the league in regards to Gruden. Do you think they would have suspended him indefinitely? Similarly we don't know what they will do with Watson because everyone is in a holding pattern. He is also protected by a players union . Is there a coaches union for Gruden? Speaking of consistency I would say the Watson one is pretty consistent considering nothing happened to Bob Kraft after his shenanigans.

You said Houston is choosing not to play him. That isn’t true.

So far Watson is not suspended or cut. As NFL may be investigating more. But there is talk of him being traded to the Dolphins among other teams.

As NYC sports anchor Warner Wolf back in the day would say " Let's go to the videotape !". Bob Kraft even getting observed by law enforcement on the FL massage parlour videotape got off scot free.
