The guy is a thug who takes pride in hurting other players. You don't hit a QB low. You don't trip a wide receiver. You don't grab someone's leg and twist their ankle. And you don't smash into anyone helmet to helmet.

When you get blocked to the QB's legs.. cry to your lineman
When you get tackled around the core.. and pop your knee.. don't cry to me
When you get wrapped up and manage to hurt your ankle.. don't cry to me
If you don't want a hit to your helmet.. don't lower your head when you run the ball

The guy's job as a safety is to tackle people in the open field. It's more bad luck than anything for the Pats.

But the fans crying about Pollard is just fitting... but they learned from the best.. Brady himself.

You like to put words into people's mouths, don't you? Who's crying? I'm just saying I think he's taken a few cheap shots. The 3 guys he's injured never had any problems during their careers, and after hits from him, they all needed season ending surgery. If every player played that way, the sport would be kind of boring, don't ya think?

Next to Aaron Rodgers, Brady gets hit more than any other QB in the league. How many Pats games do you watch? He rarely complains about it. If anything, he yells at his offense when they're playing like crap, the exact same way Peyton, Aaron, Drew or any other QB worth his weight does.

It's actually sort of a running joke up here in New England how other people who don't watch Pats games regularly and don't see the beating he takes, say he whines about calls. It's nothing more than a rumor that got started that everyone jumps on the band wagon about. Brady is 1 tough hombre.

puhaha.. are you really trying to deny Brady's reputation for crying to the refs? bring down the distortion field dude.

Doesn't matter - it's a moot point because all QB's and WR's complain to the refs. When was the last time you saw a WR miss a deep pass with coverage where they didn't throw their arms up in the air and complain to the refs? Singling Brady out is easy because he's the most successful and recognized QB of his generation. It's easy to hate on guys like that. Same reason everybody outside New York hates the Yankees and same reason everybody outside Miami hates LeBron James.

But the fact is, if you watched Pats games on a regular basis you would see that this "reputation" he has is a bunch of BS.

So basically your saying he's being picked on because hes good - reality is the rep is earned by his actions that have distinguished him from all other QBs.

Joe Montana was more successful - and he doesn't have that rep. So that pretty much sinks that argument.

Yes, he's picked on because he's good. He's also a good looking guy who is married to a supermodel. He also plays for a coach and a team that is despised by every fan outside of New England. The fans make this crap up. Do you EVER hear any of the NFL broadcasters blasting Brady for complaining? A guy like Terrel Owens deserved the reputation he has.

As for Montana, being more successful is debatable. He's got more SB rings, but Brady's got more wins overall. And Montana played for a beloved coach and the 49ers were popular everywhere in the 80's/90's. Most people hate the Patriots.

Edit:
I will not condemn a man who has not been proven guilty.

And folks here are correct to point out that Ray has never tested positive for any illegal substances. So I won't rush to my torch & pitchfork so quickly (like *cough* ESPN).

You do understand what the story actually says right? That someone claims they gave Ray something...

where the reality is Lewis has not actually tested positive for anything and he denies the report.

Should you be locked up because I said hey.. I saw GoofyDadKB kill someone one. Oh you want proof? Just take my word for it..

Why are you so rude to people? Or, do you not realize that you are being rude?

Back to Lewis, again, I don't hear anything about his charity work not being from the area. Brady is like that as well. Gives much time to local charities, but no one outside of New England sees that. So, if he's doing right with his fame and helping those less fortunate, I'll give the guy a break for his past stupidity. As you said, I sure as hell wouldn't want to be judged by the dumb things I did when I was younger.

I think that goes for all teams. I've heard numerous Bears and Vikings fans say how much they hate Rodgers and Woodson from the Packers. They have no idea how much those guys do for the community. It seems like Rodgers is visiting kids who have cancer and other illnesses weekly. And Woodson... he holds celebrity golf tournaments, diners, etc so much. It's kind of sad how nobody ever hears of this, or how it's never in the news. Donald Driver is one of the greatest human beings on earth, too.

There's always going to be people hating on your team just because of how they see them on the field and in the media, but typically people never see them outside of a football environment.

In the SI article it said that he ATTEMPTED to aquire this substance. Never once said he took it. So not only is there any proof he took it....only that he attempted to aquire it....not that he took it. He has been tested many times and never once did he come up dirty. SO now you jumped to the conclusion that he should be banned from the super bowl. There isnt even any evidence that he even did that...just someone saying it. No big secret... I am a Ravens fan. This will just fuel him with more incentive. The NFL had no comment on it and as reported on the NFL network that the NFL are trying to distance themselves from the story. SI is in the buisness to sell magazines. In a age where printed information is on its way out they need to sensationalize stories more and more. IMO this is one of those times. He has been back for a month. We never heard this before, you think its just a coincedence that its Super Bowl week? You believe everything you read? Being a member of this board should teach you something about that....in the words of Dion Sanders.....Come on MAN!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but a part of me wants the Ravens to win. I'm certainly no fan of Lewis, Suggs or Pollard, but I'd love to see Capernick get his snarky butt kicked all over that field.

Actually the league said in 2011 that all players and teams are to break contact with S.W.A.T.S. So yes, he is in violation of the league directives.

As die hard 9er I have ALWAYS been I will not be overly heartbroken if Ravens win. Flacco and a Harbough getting it is deserving.

I agree. Probably wouldn't have last season, but Flaaco showed a lot of heart down the stretch this year and Harbaugh coached 2 masterpieces against the Broncos and Patriots.

You are correct, but there is no proof that he did that either......other then his word. Me? I am not buying it.
I have to edit what I said before, I heard on the radio today and heard the guy that was aledgedly involved. He said that Ray contacted him on how to use the product. He didnt say that he aquired it from him or he didnt say that he asked to aquire it....but How to use it? IMO.... I think Ray might of heard about it and called to INQURE about it...some info. Ray looked into it and said no thank you. Until there is somekind of substantial proof I am not buying it.
