NFL 2012- Name your team!!!

I am a little late to this party....Looks like I will be the only RAVENS fan here on the blue pages. Thats ok though, I think I like it that way.....for those crying about the Pats super bowl loss.....if it wasnt for that $%#@ *&^(% Lee Evans dropping that TD pass in the AFC championship they would have been watching from home.....but shoulda coulda woulda.......I suppose. Flacco and company looked incredible Moday night. Defense is getting long in the tooth but have some young talent that might help get them thru. Ray Lewis had 14 tackles....but this is the New look Ravens....watch for Joe Flacco to have a huge year. Its contract time and no one had a bigger smile on his face then Flacco's agent Monday night. If the defense can be close to what they have been....this team could be poised to make a rum in the end. If they somehow get Suggs back by January...sky's the limit.

Steelers looked old and slow, Ben looked a step slower at times but seemed to look like the old Ben at other times. The jury is still out on the Steelers. IMO they have a uphill battle. AFC north has a extremely tough schedule. Cincy....what can I say about Cincy....I had high hopes for this team. They had a ton of draft picks from the Carson Palmer deal and still looked like theyare still short. Andy Dalton mey not be the QB for this teams future. Cleveland took Philly to the very end. Didnt get to see the game....but Cleveland is ....well Cleveland.

Pats as always should be there in the end as always. Yes Blicheck cheated but he is still an excellent coach....love him or hate him. Manning looked incredible at Denver. Looks like he never missed a beat. That spells trouble for the AFC. Shanahan is also an excellent coach, this team will be in the mix come January.As far as the Jets are concerned....this is the reason Preseason means NOTHING! They put up a league leading 48 pts after not scoring a TD all preseason. Rex Ryan is one of the best defensive minds in football. Sanchez showed that even with Teebow looking over his shoulder it is his position to lose. This division will be one of the most interesting ones in the AFC with the Pats and Jets going after it. Either way.....one of these two teams will be a Wild card from the AFC. The AFC West.......really? who cares...San Diego will probably win this division but as always will lose at some point. They just cant seem to play with the powers of the AFC when it counts most.
My second favorite team this year is the 49'ers..This team seems to be buying what Harball is selling. They have young talent and Smith is a way better QB then what most people think. Dont be surprised if you get Both Harball's in the AFC championship this year. (edit: as correctly pointed out 49ers are in the NFC.....so maybe see these two in the Super Bowl?)

Being a fan of a AFC team I dont follow the NFC as close. Green Bay always seems to be a favorite but they have another tough game this week and if they go 0-2 thats a tough way to start a season. Bears is another team that start out the sseason with high hopes but somewhere along the way lose it. Dallas seems ready to do damage but this is another team that always finds a way to lose when it counts most. Saints? to much turmoil, I dont care how good they are or were....when there is that much distraction it dosnt bode well for a team. Wait till next year. What I like about the NFC is that you really dont know who will win this conference...its up for grabs. I like what I seen in DC with RG III but being a rookie sooner or later he will find his raw talent will only take him so far in the NFL, that said he seems to be the real deal. This team may have found what they have been missing....a real QB. Philly? I never liked Micheal Vick......thrilling player at times but cant stay healthy and because of his recklessness always seems to put his team in harms way. Barley beat Cleveland last week. They have Philly a 2.5 favorite against Baltimore this week. We will see exactly what this team is all about.

As usaual the football season is upon us and there is nothing like it.....no other sport captures our attention like this one. It rarely dissapoints. There will be some surprise teams and some that we thought were going to be good that never show up.....which will your team be?

The 49ers are in the NFC so there can't be a Harbough championship game. I made that mistake once before too.
