"Since 2008, the Patriots have had 13 turnovers in seven playoff games, with nine of those turnovers forced by Baltimore."

@BenSmith - it's called post game celebration. What do you expect after the team wins their conference championship? You sound like a sore loser complaining more than anything...

I feel sorry for Tony Gonzalez. In his 16 years he only had ONE playoff win. He is the greatest person to ever play the tight end position, and he is one of the classiest guys in the league. You could tell how much it hurt when he spoke with the media after the game.

And he wasn't a crybaby sore loser.

Did you guys hear about the billboard ad in Massachusetts that displayed the countdown to Ray Lewis' retirement party? I bet they feel stupid now, and what a waste of money even if the Patriots did win.

LOL, Tom Brady won 3 super Bowls in his first 4 years. How many appearances did Flacco have until now? 0..

Excellent point and I would NEVER compare Flacco to Brady. That wasnt the discussion. The comparison was to Rich Gannon, Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson. You want to put Brady in that mix? Brady will go down as one of the best ever. The only thing that matters is the ring,

Flacco is not Tom Brady. But Tom Brady did get beat tonight...and Joe Flacco is much less emotional than Tom Brady. He always looks very cool-headed on the field. Brady, on the other hand, looked ready to cry when he threw the interception and turned down an interview. Flacco also has more playoff wins on the road than Brady.

Seriously....your going to compare Flacco to these guys? Sure they have won a championship. But Flacco is the winningest QB for his first five years then any QB in NFL HISTORY! If he wins a Super Bowl These guys shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence.
I don't get it?....here is what I was referring to:

"Assuming the Ravens don't have the worst collapse ever, this years Super Bowl will consist of two non-elite QBs (although Flacco has earned the title of a good QB). When's the last time that happened??"

I listed Brad Johnson vs Rich Gannon, Trent Dilfer vs Cary Collins....I would take Flacco over either of them, for that matter I would take Kapernic (sorry if misspelled) over any of them too.

You could also add Roethlisberger vs Hasselbeck to the list of match ups of non-elite (at the time of the match-up)

Ray Lewis saw the billboard. He said he was very hurt by it, but it gave him even more determination to prove them wrong.

I went to Orioles Fanfest yesterday, and during one of the boards, our center fielder, Adam Jones, said he was going up to New England to watch the game, but was leaving Sunday afternoon because he didn't want to spend too much time around the New England fans. Everyone watching him laughed and cheered in agreement.

Also in attendance was Michael Phelps, very incognito with a hat and a beard. Unrecognizable at first, but he was there. Saw him on a broadcast down here.

I for one am excited about the upcoming Super Bowl. I too feel bad for Tony Gonzalez and was indeed hoping the Falcons would pull it off for him. Would have been fun to see him and Ray Lewis go at it during the Super Bowl.

The Pats just plain fell apart yesterday. I honestly feel that the Raven's just wanted it to more (IMO).

Congratulations to the 9er's and Raven's fans.

I didn't read the other posts so I don't know if this has been asked....

BUT...

If the Ravens do win...and if Ray Lewis wins MVP...do you think Disney will snub him (rightfully so) again?

This is the part where people say "You're from Pittsburgh and Big Ben was accused of rape! Would you let him be in the Disney parade?" And 2 things - he's never won MVP for either of his superbowls and no I would not be surprised if they didn't ask him due to his past.

Anyway...so what do we think? Would they ask Flacco if Lewis wins MVP?

I wouldn't call it 'rightfully so' - Disney avoided him because they avoid controversy.. not because they support someone or not. They are risk-adverse.

Anyway...so what do we think? Would they ask Flacco if Lewis wins MVP?

1 - he isn't going to win MVP in any possible way
2 - I guess people still don't know the difference between 'accused' and 'convicted'

I was SO with Shannon when he said this yesterday. I think that pretty much sums it up.

The funny thing is.. in the prior game the Fox panel noted how Jim H. always eludes them for post-game interviews as well. The difference is in how they do it. Watching Bill's post game press conference was classic Bill. Give nothing..
