Sorry to be mean but,All you Ravens fans seemed to be a little too boastful about your team winning. Sorry to break it to you, but you still have one more game, don't get your hopes up.

LOL, let them enjoy the victory, no one gave them a chance to win, let them revel in the moment.

Jimmy Thick- Its totally fair.

We're excited because we haven't made it this far in over 10 years. Our team gets bashed so much that we have to boast when we win. We will be celebrating. And we are AFC champions, so...

Speaking of coaches and their classiness, John Harbaugh is so much more classy than his brother. I just like the way John handles things. Then there's Jim...

Nice to have a Super Bowl without Manning or Brady.

49ers are going to win though, way too good.

Jimmy Thick- Alex Smith who?

Thanks Jim....most everyone didnt give the Ravens a chance. The line was 9.5. Go ahead and pick against them. Nobody has supported the team except for Mike Golic. Every talking head there was picked against them. The Ravens didnt get to the Super Bowl on luck. They beat two of the best QB's in NFL history. Heart dosnt show up in a stat. This team has heart. Look around sure they have some stars....Most of them are on their way out the door. On defnse you have a 37 yr old MLB....a 34 yr old SS. A End that is comming back from a season threatening injury. A basically a QB that has been dissed thru his entire career. After the last few games I believe! Please Jim root for the 9'rs. We dont need ya.

Either Tampa (Brad Johnson) vs Oakland (Rich Gannon) or NYG (Cary Collins) vs Baltimore (Trent Dilfer). Not sure which one was the most recent.

Seriously....your going to compare Flacco to these guys? Sure they have won a championship. But Flacco is the winningest QB for his first five years then any QB in NFL HISTORY! If he wins a Super Bowl These guys shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Absolutely... we just won the AFC Championship. I think that atleast entitles us to a little boasting.:)

I picked the Ravens to win two of their 3 playoff games and am picking them in the Super Bowl (assuming there's no huge injuries in practice). They were my second favorite team to make the Super Bowl for the AFC at the beginning of the season next to the Texans.

To be fair, Rich Gannon did win MVP in I believe 2002.

Honestly, I picked against them the last two games. I tried to be honest with myself. All year long the Ravens have layed terrible on the road. They had to face to of the best QB's in history. The Broncos were comming off a 11 game winning streak. The Ravens had lost four of their last five games. What was to make me think they would have played like they did? Now? I believe.

Credit given. But I think there is so much more upside to Flacco. I think Gannon was the QB the Ravens beat in the 2001 AFC championship. Out of the three Gannon was probably the better QB.

Oh don't worry, Manning and Brady will be mentioned more than enough.

Crab cakes vs Rice aroni.

My vote goes to crab cakes.
Pretty sad that I'm from Baltimore and really don't like crab cakes. I like the kind you actually have to pick and eat yourself. And crab soup. Of course, I really hate rice aroni too, so...GO RAVENS!!!!

All my posts will be in purple for the next two weeks. And if they win, they will be in purple until the Orioles start spring training. Then I will change to orange.

John just tends to be calmer than Jim. Our players have enough of an attitude that he needs to curve, not reinforce.

Sorry you don't follow the ravens enough to know why its worth celebrating.

  • We have a quarterback who has more road playoff wins than ANYONE - yet has constantly had to face the question of 'if hes good enough'
  • He beat the golden child Luck, the 'coach' Payton, and now pretty boy Brady. Oh, and no picks through the playoffs yet.
  • We are a team that people cry we 'stole' the Browns. Uhh.. the rest of the country seems to forget when the owner bugged out of Baltimore IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT abandoning the city to take the team to Indy. And no, the NFL didn't console us by promising us a new franchise right away like they did in Cleveland.
  • We are a team that ends us on the bad side of calls so often we just expect it. Like tonight's game.. hits we get called for Defensless Reciever hits.. and Pitta gets his clock cleaned and no call. Or how about Brady doing his best Rockettes impression? Or how about what should have been interference on the punt reception when not only did Reed not get a halo.. he got freaking tackled. No call. And the list goes on..
We are a mid-market team that besides our consistent playoff wins and performance overall in the NFL - still get little respect from fans in general. It's ok, Baltimore is a blue collar town we don't mind people hating on us.. but you can't deny us when we do get to showboat :)

Falcons lose - sorry Saget, so much for our SuperBowl bet!
:(
So close yet so far. At least the Falcon's playoff performances have improved compared to year's past. They were simply outplayed by an incredible 49er's team. I pity the Ravens having to go up against the Gold Diggers.

^oh please, every fan thinks his team doesn't get called.

All I am saying is, you can boast all you want but now it just comes off as if you believe you already won,
