NFL 2012- Name your team!!!

The top 5 teams in the entire NFL are from the NFC, and one of them will win the Super Bowl. The only reason a AFC team makes it to the Super Bowl is because they have to be there, but no team from the AFC can compete with the Packers, Bears, Giants, 49ers or Falcons.

Jimmy Thick- Just not good, just like the Bill's from the 90's...

The Falcons have had the easiest schedule in the entire league, and have still barely eeked out some of their wins.
The 49ers are hit or miss. We'll see if you change your tune after they play the Patriots.

If you really don't think the Patriots can compete with any of those teams, you clearly didn't watch the game in London. Granted, it was the Rams, but no team would have beaten them that day. If the Patriots turn it on, they're going to be tough to beat. As for the Bears, they BARELY beat the Panthers. Jay Cutler is still Jay Cutler. The Giants barely beat the Cowboys, literally, by a fingertip. The Packers lost to Seattle. Any team can beat any other team on any given day in the NFL.

Why are the Broncos getting so much love? I can't see it....they should make the playoffs, but no progress very deep. Just sayin'

The Bronco's rush the passer and have a fantastic offensive line, which are huge keys to going far in the playoffs. I don't think the Bronco's are by no means elite, but no one in the AFC is, but the Bronco's could be good enough to get to the Super Bowl, which I would not like because I thought they were a better team with Tebow.

I don't know as much about college football as I do the NFL, but I think the first pick will be Matt Barkley or Geno Smith. I do agree that there is no "Wow" college QBs. Maybe the team with the number 1 pick will trade it, since there isn't a top-notch QB.

Barkley is another in the long like of USC QB's who won't be able to cut it in the pros. Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley, all they have in common is they all went to the same school, beat up seriously inferior competition and when the time came for them to step up to the next level they couldn't cut it. As bad as the Kansas City Chefs are, they are not Podunk State.

Gino Smith is the best QB prospect as it stands right now, but that could change. Landry Jones made a huge mistake coming back for his senior year, as did Montee Ball. These kids have to realize you have to take the money and run. If pro scouts consider you a first round pick, you come out early.

The Falcons have not hit their stride yet and are undefeated.

The 49ers beat up people, thats dangerous come playoff time. As long as they don't need to rely on Alex Smith to win games, they are much much better than any team in the AFC.

The Bears should have lost that game last week, but wound up winning, good teams do that.

The Giants rush the passer as well as any team in the league, they proved last year that can win a championship.

The Patriots are lucky to play in the AFC but their glory days are over. Their defense is terrible and their offensive line is mediocre. They might be good enough to win the AFC title, they will need luck, but a Super Bowl, no chance.

Carson Palmer did a decent job until his injuries started coming. Leinart and Sanchez are solid backups at best, though. Barkely was looking like the best bet going into the season, now he is looking like the second or third. Smith is the best bet, IMO, too.

With Montee Ball, he's still a good running back, it's just that we (Wisconsin Badgers) have a terrible offensive line, and QBs that can't do crap. Ball is a 2nd round pick in my mind now. Not sure how he is going to do in the pros.

Montee Ball was a first rounder last year after his amazing season. He thought he could be a top 5 pick if he stayed, but he should have saw the guts of his line went pro and should have followed. Yeah, our line is not what we are used to, usually our line is filled with pro players once they turn junior, not the case anymore. Even Ron Dayne would have struggled...Then again... Yeah, the guy is still a God around here.

I feel for the guy who had to follow Russel Wilson, poor guy.

Honestly, the Badgers seriously need to retool.

Jimmy Thick- Good, not elite...For now...

The Patriots secondary is their weakness, has been for 2 years, yet they came within inches of winning the Super Bowl last year. Their defense against the run is among the tops in the league this season. They just picked up Aqib Talib which will greatly improve their secondary. How can you call their offensive line "mediocre" when the QB they're protecting has thrown for more yards than any other QB in the league this season?

They have lost 3 games by a total of 4 points. The 5 games they have won they have done so by over 100 points. They are just starting to find their rhythm now with the receivers and running game.

They have the #1 offense in the league. I just don't see how you can say a team with a great offense but terrible defense (Packers) has a better shot at winning the Super Bowl than a team with the best offense and terrible defense (Patriots), and the Patriots defense is only terrible against the pass.

Actually the Packers' defense is not terrible this year. They are 13th in points allowed, 13th in YPG, 12th in rush yard/game, and the only thing they are bad at is pass defense (20th). So, the Packers defense is right on par with the Patriots, if not better. The Patriots are 12th in points/game, 8th in rushing yards/game, but 23rd in yards/game, and 28th in passing yards/game.

Things I've learned through the first part of this week:

- Chiefs are the worst team in the league
- Ravens are inconsistent, but should still make the playoffs
- Cardinals still have issues
- Packers CAN run the ball
- Aaron Rodgers is in the MVP race
- Packers are very happy to have a week off to heal
- Houtson is not the best team in the AFC
- The Colts are looking like a wild card team
- Andrew Luck is going to be great
- Detroit is good, but not playoff worthy
- Jacksonville is still bad
- Chicago's offense is their defense and special teams
- The Redskins aren't as good as I thought

I have to say that Aaron Rodgers may be in the MVP race but my money is going on my "Peanut", Charles Tillman to be high man in the running this year. The man is incredible. If our offense put as much energy into each and every game like our defense does, we'd be hard to beat (in my opinion). We have some great players on our offense, I just wish they'd play that way.

And I agree our defense is our best offense for sure. I'm grateful for the win but lordy I wish our offense would show up for a full game!

Just got through watching the Falcons/Cowboys pre-game show. It's almost as if the media is trying to brainwash the public into being Cowboys' fans no matter what, like there are no other important teams we should care about outside of Dallas.

In the past the Cowboys have had back luck on sunday night, but they have had good luck when they play teams that have not lost a game. The Cowboys are 0-7 in their last sunday night games. Also the Cowboys were the first team to beat the Redskins the year the Redskins won the Super Bowl. The Cowboys were also the first team to beat the Saints when the Saints the year the Saints won the Super Bowl.

It's insane isn't it? Every year they are on the verge of breaking out and making the next step, and every year they come up short.

Also, with Jimmy Johnson on Fox and Michael Irvin & Deon Sanders on NFL Network, you'd think the Cowboys are the best team in the league. Even Emmitt Smith says they Cowboys have problems, the others are just in denial.

But the way these announcers talk, it's like they're saying each & every one of us should be upset if the Cowboys lose, and we all should rejoice in the streets if they do good.

Things I learned this week:

-Jamaal Charles is a fantasy bust for me.
-The Giants are not the best team in the league.
-The Bears defense and special teams are damn good.
-The Cowboys won't make the Playoffs yet again.
-Atlanta is lucky to be 8-0.
-I regret trading Andrew Luck in Fantasy.
-The Steelers defense is better than people think.
-Peyton Manning has less rings, but more knowledge about football than Eli.

The thing is they are finding a way to win. So there is a reason why they are 8-0. But I will say that the Cowboys did have chances to win this game, but they did not get it done. A lot of times when the Cowboys have a chance to win the game they don't get it done and that is a big reason why they are 3-5. Also when the Falcons have a chance to win the game they get it done and that is a big reason why they are 8-0.

Whelp, every team in the NFC east who played today lost (Eagles on tomorrow)
The Giants could have easily won if Eli didn't play horrible. Cowboys can't find a way to win when they have the opportunity, and the Redskins showed they are a young team who aren't quite there yet. Orapko out for the year was a huge blow
