The first true test for the Atlanta Falcons will come this weekend. They're playing in Philadelphia, and Mike Vick will be in do-or-die mode as his future with the Eagles depends on his performance. Philly is shaken up & fired up; well-rested & hungry for a win. If the Falcons can win in Philly this weekend...and I don't mean get lucky at the last second...I mean a legit win...then I will believe the team is worth their record. If Philly beats Atlanta, then it will be more proof that the Falcons have only been blessed with an easy schedule these first 6 games, rather than being a true 6-0 team.

Don't get me wrong. I like Matt Ryan and the Falcons, and I think they should be able to pull it off. I am just concerned with how the team is winning, and getting easy breaks from their opponents at the last minute. This weekend will reveal how good they truely are.

Agreed! And we shall see as we never play well in Philly (last win 1988). We have Dallas and N.O. after that.....

For the Falcons to not win the division, N.O would almost have to go 9-1, AND the Falcons would have to be .500 for remaining games. I could see Atlanta at .500, but not N.O at 9-1. We have no run defense!

Just curious, but why are the Cardinals on the list and why aren't the Packers on it?

Based on the season thus far, I think my picks would be as follows, in no particular order. I think San Diego "could" pull something out of the wind for Wild Card. Seattle could be in that running too.

NFC:

1. Chicago
2. NYG
3. San Francisco
4. Falcons
5. Green Bay
6. Vikings

AFC:

1. Houston
2. Broncos
3. Steelers
4. Patriots
5. Ravens
6. Jets
We have all the same playoffs teams aside from our NFC 6th seeds and almost identical order..great minds think alike ;)

What does Tampa Bay's win Thursday say? About Tampa Bay? About Minnesota?

Don't think the bucs are going to make a run, but is Minnesota?

Since Green Bay isn't doing nearly a good as I thought they would, I think there's a good chance they miss the playoffs. But if I were to replace Arizona, it would be with Green Bay. Another reason is because I also chose Minnesota, who is also in the same division as Minnesota. I don't know if two wild-card teams can be in the same division, but if they can I might want to re-think that. But it's still early on in the season, so there's a lot more football to go through.

Two wildcard teams can be from the same division, last year the Steelers and Bengals were both in as wildcards for the AFC. And I guess the way I'm looking at it is both Green Bay and Arizona have the same record. But, Arizona is on a three game losing streak, and Green Bay is on a two game winning streak. Green Bay's schedule only gets easier (aside from the Giants, Bears, and maybe Vikings), whereas their first 6 or 7 weeks were rather difficult. I don't know what Arizona's upcoming schedule is looking like, but I see Green Bay in the wildcard and Arizona out of the playoffs. I can see Green Bay winning their division, too. They are 4-3 and Chicago is 5-1 and Minnesota is 5-3. Green Bay has a win over Chicago already, and if they win against Jacksonville this week they will tie Minnesota. It will be a close race all the way to the end.

Also, I'm not just saying this as a Packers fan.

Giants could have a big day on Sunday. If they win, they will be 6 and 2, and drop Dallas to 3-4. Philly plays the tough Atlanta, and Washington plays the Steelers who are never easy, so all teams in the NFC east could lose besides the Giants. They then would have a 3 game lead on the other teams. Big week

Here's the schedules for both teams:

I can't say that the Cardinals schedule gets harder nor easier, same with the Packers. I think this will be a close race and a great finish. I will definitely keep a watch on this race.

I have no idea what to think of the Packers right now. They're hot then cold. Will certainly be keeping an eye on them. The next time we (the Bears) play them is while I'm at WDW. Definitely have to find the game somewhere as it will likely have bearing on the playoffs. My daughter is a Packer fan so I'm sure she'll be blowing up my phone my phone that day.

I believe the NFC North will be neck and neck all the way until the end.

Dallas
Philly

Only 2 will make it, so should be interesting
