New Year's Eve '16

Hi Everyone! My honeyman and I are planning a special WDW trip for New Year's NEXT year... We really like Wilderness Lodge, but thought we should book Contemporary for great viewing of FWs on 12/31. However, someone just told me about a great "viewing platform" at Contemporary. Anyone know anything about this? Because we know it will be nuts at MK we were hoping to view FWs from beach or hotel. Plan on seeing Illuminations 12/30 from one of the cruises. What say you??? Sparkle on, NonnaT

There's a walkout viewing area on top of the resort but you have to have reservations at California grill. There is a watching area as you walk out to bay lake tower as well, use to have a bench.

Fourth floor on the end of the Contemporary building closest to MK. Good viewing area but I am guessing it will be packed NYE. Oh, WL is our favorite, but we like staying at lots of different places.

Personally, I'd rather be inside MK.

Yes it's absolutely crazy, but worth experiencing at least once.
