I wouldn't call it major. It's not hard to add facades. They already built a proper road.

Unless an insider knows, we don't know. I can see them leaving it open, or having it open only during the time the theater is open, or only using it as queuing for the next show.

I don't know that level of the design. Bare minimum, it would hold queueing guests, exiting guests, and serve as a nighttime bypass and Special Ticket Party entrance.

Good way to add 6-10K in capacity without adding a ton of demand. As much as I think this is good/great, I don't see a lot of people booking trips over it.

Yeah this really kills two birds with one stone. WDW is in desperate need of a proper, decent theatre, and MK is in desperate need for more capacity. Very glad to see this happen. People may not be booking trips over it, but its a big plus all around.

I remember reading somewhere that MK's issue is that any new attraction that adds capacity at the park will draw crowds. It's a paradox that just keeps getting worse. But solutions like this definitely help solve this issue.

This sorta feels to me to be the smartest decision announced during the whole panel. Another bonus is the shows would presumably be long, making it a nice way to sit down and get some AC during a busy day when you need a longer sit than Carousel of Progress would give you.

I've seen some pretty decent shows at DLP recently. Frozen is actually good, Forest of Enchantment too. As are the current and previous shows in Animagique. With shows like those I can totally see this new theater be a great pull.

And if it adds to the Main Street area rather than replace Town Hall this is all fantastic news.
(Maybe they can re-open West Center Street while they are at it...)

I think that's exactly the point here. This will increase capacity but do little to increase attendance which is really what the park needs.

I sure hope not. And as much as I loved Aladdin at the Hyperion and hated to see it go, I'd love to see them break some new ground.
