I just saw this blurb on Screamscape:
>>> I know I havn’t been to IOA in a few months but this past week I noticed that they had installed all new “seats” on Ripsaw Falls. Each log now features 5 individual seating areas so you don’t have to sit on anyone’s lap any longer. Despite the capacity reduction, I kind of liked the new comfort of it. Anyone know when they put these in?<<<
Has anyone else noticed these? I kind of find it humorous that Universal put these seats in overnight because it took Disney months of headaches and tinkering to come up with the same seating arrange for Splash Mountain at Disneyland.
Of course, they probably shamelessly stole the idea from Disneyland (too bad no one told them that this was initially going to be a temporary fix until the Imagineers came up with something better), but I've goto say that I am impressed that Universal managed to do this without any kind of extended closure at all.
Then again, was Screamscape just hopelessly wrong once again?
