Monday was Rosh Hashanah so maybe schools in Florida were off given the Jewish population in the state.

Yes. Schools at least in Palm Beach County had off Monday for Rosh Hashanah, and also have off next Wendesday for Yom Kippur. I heard the parks were very busy this weekend. Palm Beach County also has off tomorrow and Friday due to the Matthew.

I wonder that too. I'd assume it'd be a cross-role as Phasma is fairly tall and they would (possibly?) not be able to get that many female friends who are the same height as Gwendoline Christie. I kind of assume they assaign people based on height.

Thank God! It doesn't help that I hate Star Wars with a passion already, but this thing was one of the most annoying pieces of "entertainment" to be produced at the parks. Like if it happened like 2 or 3 times a day that would be fine, but 7 or 8 times a day is overkill. Especially with the annoying music that is on a 20 second loop. Good riddance.
