New theme park cookbook released

Disney has released a new cookbook with favorite guest recipes from Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and the Disney Cruise Line. Cooking With Mickey and the Disney Chefs, the first cookbook to contain recipes from all three locations, includes such sought-after recipes as the Blue Bayou's Monte Cristo sandwich, the Kona Cafe's Tonga Toast, pork and polenta from California Grill and creme brulee from the Disney Cruise Line. Recipes have been adapted to family-size servings. The $19.95 book is available at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, aboard the Disney Cruise Line, and via Walt Disney World mail order (407-363-6200).

Darn !!! Why couldn't they have released this in time for my birthday ? Now I'll have to buy it for myself ....

and the down side is, everyone will be asking me to do all the cooking for the next 6 months !

Since you mentioned Disney Magazine, and I can't find a forum for printed media, do you or anyone out there know if Disney stopped publishing Disney Princess Magazine ? I've tried a web-search but all I keep getting are links to Disney Magazine. I'd sure appreciate any info !

Yes, I agree, they need to bring the cook books to the Disney Stores! We did just start carrying The Disney Magazine, Family Fun Magazine and Disney Adventure magazine, so maybe we'll start getting books back in! Who knows!

I picked up my copy during my last visit to WDW in July :slurp: . I've already made the Grilled Vegetable Sandwich from Tusker House - one of my fav's and nearly identical to the original!

Exactly! I ordered mine from WDW Mailorder last month. It is similar to the old one I have from years ago when Chef Mickey's was in the Market Place. Imagine trying to tell the CM over the phone from memory- "uhm the old one is I think red, the new one is blue, mickey still is dressed like a chef but the cruise line is on it now.." Since we are cruising in Dec I immediately looked up the Konk Kooler and the chocolate souffle. It's also cool to see the AKL and Boardwalk recipes.
