We just saw the 715 show. I have purposely not watched any videos of the show before.

It is a beautiful and stunning show. We are not easily impressed and my wife, daughter and I all loved it.

We sat in the Asia fast pass section. The fire tower did not appear to work entirely, but that did not detract from the rest of the show.

Visually stunning and beautiful but lacking something. I enjoyed it though more than I did during the soft openings. The vibe around the theater was awesome and made it more exciting. Everyone has to experience this show for themselves. Pics and videos are great but don't do the show justice. Now if only they could alleviate the chaos of the exit then it would be even better :)

I found it to be visually stunning and loved the music, but feel the same after seeing it live as I did after watching it online--it lacks a powerful ending. I thought the animal floats were really cool looking but under utilized. You only see them in the opening until they go dark until the end. Also felt the performers were under utilized, frequently hard to see or far off on the sidelines. On the other hand, the decision to have the lotus floats equipped with their own projectors allowing animals to hop around was brilliant and added considerable depth to the show. The larger projectors worked flawlessly tonight, but it was ideal weather in Central Florida today. Crisp, clear images.

The visuals for the fifteen minutes prior to showtime are awesome. I love the firefly effect.

Had a great view in the dining package section and a wonderful meal at Tiffins.

The show grows on me each and everytime I see it. It is an original show with ZERO IP attached to it... That is rare these days! Well done Disney!
And reading the ancient Hill articles about that parade version, it's an original show that managed to come from something that was going to have cartoon IP attached to it.

An IP driven thing being converted into something without IP is just unheard of.

The second show just finished and the fire tower seemed to work perfectly. Rivers of Light is a really amazing show, indeed.
It might not be Fantasmic or RoE in terms of pyro/special effects, but that is what makes it feel truly special: its uniqueness. It truly embraces Animal Kingdom.
Is there pics or video out there of what the fire tower looks like when it's working 100%? I'm just trying to compare to when I saw it and if it was having issues that day or not.

It's not surprising IPs were at the helm in it's inception given Steve Davison was the one who proposed the parade and all he does is put characters in his shows.

It seems as if someone actually took a look at the park and how a nighttime show would best fit when converting the idea and realized IPs don't mesh.
