Guest will be able to get a head start on their day they as enjoy the early morning charm of Main Street USA with photo opportunities, breakfast options and shopping before the park officially opens.

There's something really special about the current one, IMO, and the coming in on the train is also really special. I've been happy with their new stage shows so hopefully this can live up to it. I'm glad I saw the original.

If this was actually to do with guest flow surely they would have done this for the holidays?

Depending on the timings I can foresee no-one waiting near the castle because they will want to be at the entrance to the lands for rope drop and the show getting quietly cut.

So many people seem to love the current opening show. Very curious to see what the reception will be to the new one. It could be better, who knows? But I just love the current one. At least they didn't dump it altogether.

I think this will be a lot more efficient, since they don't have a ton of people crowded in front of the train station, now they'll have people all throughout Main Street. The only downside I'm thinking of is that they'll have to have more cast blocking the entrances to the different lands via the hub

Could be a test since the railroad will be under refurb.....

If this works, it may stay. If not, the regular one returns after the refurb is over.

This also takes a little bit of the magic away from the early morning breakfast reservations. There was something truly special about walking down a mostly-empty Main Street.

Because there are only six lands in the MK: Main Street, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, and Adventureland.

I could see someone thinking Storybook Circus is #7. It's not that much smaller than Toontown Fair or Mickey's Starland was.

Storybook Circus is not considered a land. It's a part of Fantasyland. On a Magic Kingdom map, Storybook Circus is not recognized.

Oh, I definitely agree. You do have the entrance sign and everything, plus you added a ride when Dumbo was moved. I'm not saying it is a Land, but I'm saying the song could be heard by the Disney layman and still make sense. They wouldn't have to wander the park all day trying to find the invisible seventh Land.

The song even says, "Step inside our Storybook". Coincidence?

It'll also ease the crowding at the front, less issues of having to escort the entire park worth of guests behind a rope and breakfast Guests will have a better idea where to check in.

Plus you can get Starbucks like at DHS while you wait (what I'm most excited about!)

They are just returning to the way they use to do things. Main Street U.S.A. always opened early prior to 9/11. A welcome show on the Castle Stage is just an added benefit. Good move Disney!
