New mission coming to Star Tours - The Adventure Continues

I was a little surprised that they are skipping over Rogue One.

Rogue one in general seems very under hyped.

Maybe it's still to come. Or maybe they've taken an overall strategy to not go overboard so fatigue doesn't set in and The 'Episode' films are the main events.

To me that would make more sense. The novelty of New Star Wars film every year wilL soon wear off.

Yeah, but Rogue One actually makes sense for the attraction's original time period that these people keep forgetting about.

Assuming that 8's Star Tours adventure is to the Casino Planet that set reports have been bringing up, they could possibly disconnect it from the Sequel era time period and make it work though.

Word is the suits are worried about Rogue One. They even ordered reshoots to kinda change the tone to be more like the Episodes instead of the war movie the director wanted.

Disney may still be worried and not want to over advertise a decent movie as it could hurt the brand. Look at how many people lost faith in DC movies after Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad (both were heavily hyped and both received very mixed to negative reviews). Disney doesn't want that to happen with star wars, so their willing to risk taking a hit with rogue one.

So the question is, will they randomize the attraction here before this is added, or will we go straight from being locked into Force Awakens to being locked into Episode 8?

Jakku also could have been visited during the correct time period, but it isn't. So much work done on cleaning the slate and getting the story consolidated but none of that matters with the stupid theme park ride.
