Oh cool! Universal lent them one of the Desperate Housewives houses?

This is incredibly nitpicky, but the window in the gable has such delicate gothic revival/folk Victorian details it makes me wish the building didn’t have those thick, vaguely Craftsmen eaves and braces. There isn’t really any historical precedent for it, while the mansion itself is a close approximation of a genuine historical building. I think some gothic tracery in the gable would be more fitting (and also quite spooky). There are plenty of extant country carriage houses with it across the United States. It would also help ground the setting as 19th century Louisiana.

Suburban design. Bits and bobs from here and there with no consistency.

I also think it looks nice. Comparing it to a prefab shed seems a bit disingenuous and hyperbolic.

I feel assured that once final thematic touches are added, and doors are opened with guests flowing in and out, it will look even more complete and fitting for the area.

I’m getting heavy suburbia vibes which is why I looked up Desperate housewives and found a house with very similar features. Even found one with nearly the exact color combo! The modern suburban vibes alone make it feel out place but then it’s location and how it’s just standing there alone don’t help either.

Well it would be on-brand then as Desperate Housewives was a Disney production even though the exteriors were filmed on the Uni lot. ;)

Every new botched project that’s unveiled I grow more pessimistic. From what I can they see all that institutional knowledge is apparent and has proven to be a huge loss.
I understand your point-of-view, I just don't share in your pessimism.
