3. While building on a mountain has its challenges, building in swamp and lakes has its own, too, which can take longer to dig deeper, build larger pads and pylons, and for all the cement to cure in a very damp environment.
The bulk of this system has rather simple and shallow foundations. A few spots are extensive, mostly concentrated to the parts in the water.

Not really. Concrete workers, tin knockers, electricians, equipment operators, laborers, roofers, landscapers, etc. who did the vast majority of the work in building the infrastructure were not outside specialists.

I was referring to doppelmayr. The heavy construction was done pretty quick. The other less specific work you outline can be brought in from nearly anywhere and is not really job specific. Yet Disney has been very slow to progress the main core doppelmayr elements completed. Which require specialist that are unique and in high demand as Disney spans multiple design/build seasons for doppelmayr.

I suspect it is a battery based on the size of the box shown in the photos. Looks like a small gel cell or sealed lead acid type shown in picture under that cover. Possibly more than one. More than enough power for LED lighting.

Capacitor modules could be of the same size.
Could be but not likely. Think about longest possible trip without a charge. Capacitors are depleted very quickly. Batteries make more sense. Especially if there is going to be audio or other multimedia systems.

I don't think batteries recharge fast enough. The gondolas are only in the station for 90 seconds or so...

Unless, of course, the audio will play only while the gondolas are in the station loop. In that case, there's no need for a battery as the circuit will be energized as the gondola enters the station.

They absolutely can be, you can check out the specs and dimensions here:

Here is one with pretty decent capacity that would fit in that space.

London's system managed to power an AC unit with an capacitor, the size of the one we see on the Disney car should easily be able to power some low voltage lighting and an announcement system.

Could there be a capacitor charging a traditional battery?

I see them building a free standing building near the CBR hub, on the pathway. I heard it’s going to be a coffee/light snacks /building.

Did we know this? Is it confirmed?

Thanks for the photo. I might be incorrect. Remind me tho when this opens...I could swear there was going to be a coffee/food cart. Ha! Time will tell.

AFAIK that was only speculation by people who thought that Disney wouldn't miss the opportunity to sell to people waiting. Not realizing that waits will be minimal.
