Are there gonna be any lights on the ground/towers between the CBR and DHS stations? Seems like it'll be pitch black for a good few minutes at night.

It is very likely Disney bought the option with interior lighting, which is recharged during the day by solar panels. There won't be anything on the towers... just like there isn't anything when the monorail goes through areas away from buildings or roads.

@MisterPenguin at the bottom of your posts, there is a countdown to the opening of the skyliner. What is that based on? I looked at your excellent rumor-tracking thread and didn't see a link to a date. I have been following this thread but may have missed it if it was posted here.

Thanks.

A best guess. It's bound to be off by weeks, at least. :)

I would think that Disney has a much better idea of when the skyliner will open than it does SW:GE. GE is much more complex and a lot of unknowns in the ride system and getting everything working. There are many of these gondolas operating all over the world. I guess they don't want to commit until it gets closer.

They hope to take ownership late winter / early spring. Then there’s their testing and training to be done. Easter would be amazingly early, May more realistic. The original end day to be open by was September, with August a favourite.

So next summer. Earlier would be a bonus for them. Between now and then it depends on weather, logistics and testing / training.
