Does anyone else find that floodlight on top of that tower absolutely hideous?
Look at the picture again.
Don’t think you are seeing that correctly.
Correct, it's a separate light atop its own tower, obviously not a permanent structure.
It is not on the tower if you look closely you will see others just like it around the lot. The light pole is just lined up behind the gondola pylon.
Dang! Looks like "Go Away Gray" works pretty good... at least in my monitor's color profile...

I used to think that the Eiffel Tower was WDW’s worst example of forced perspective - but then Beast’s 15 foot tall castle showed up.
Have you ever been to Paris? I have twice and I never questioned the WDW version of Forced perspective. This was a model of a real structure that exists and in a large part of Paris that is what you see when you spot it from a distance. Now the castle, I never really thought it was bad, just didn't make sense that the castle would be so far away from Be My Guest, which is supposed to be in the Castle. That takes a lot of suspension of disbelief to deal with. But, it is a fictional place so we just go with the flow and doing that is believable if we don't over think it.

Wow...i haven't been keeping up with the progress on this, but just now i was looking at the recent photos posted and was surprised to see how far along they have come.
Looks like they are really moving fast on this project.

Is there a tentative date that has been hinted at for possible opening?
Just curious as to how far along this project will be by September of this year.

They can start testing the route from DHS to CBR before they open the whole system up, as long as the interchange station is finished. I hope they are considering something like that before Riviera starts selling so people can get a sense of what that convenience is worth it to them.

Summer 2019.

Currently we may see a gondola or two moving this year.

I’d expect the system to be operational in 12 months give or take a week.

Guests riding would be 13-15 months away.

Do you believe they'll keep up this pace, or will specialists have to leave the site in favor of ski resorts?
