To save the wave of attacks here you go.

It moves slow enough for people in wheelchairs and scooters to load. Videos have been posted of people doing so much to the chagrin of naysayers.

With the cabins vented and sitting higher in the air, it should have adequate air flow for the short rides to the parks.

Air conditioning would reduce the overall capacity among the technical challenges of keeping a battery pack charged.

The wind is much worse in mountainous terrain where these have been tried and tested for many many years. Florida winds are no problem.

Now you don't have to read the other pages. If you think what I said isn't sufficient, you need to read the other pages as arguing with the above points will only lead to heated arguments about you not reading the other pages.

Thanks!

They should put all of that info on the first post.
Haven’t read the first post, but that would be a great spot to put that info.

(Note: you’re the nicest guy on this forum) :D

skyway over a gravel path, oh so beautiful!!

though i know why, just too bad they couldnt just grass the area with reinforcement for emergency vehicles since the pathway wont be used much.
The gravel could very well be for construction purposes to cut down on the mud. It may be grass again when the job is done.

Why are they wasting money on building pathways?

For most of the gondola's paths there was swampy forest. So, you gotta clear out the trees not only to put up the towers but so the trees don't get in the way of the gondolas themeselves and grow back. And as mentioned, it allows access for trucks with ladders for repair or rescue.

Thank you for giving a clear synopsis of multiple pages of "concerns" and why people can relax - let us hope that in the future people will take the time to look back at least this far.

It's not like gondolas up the sides of mountains have dedicated gravel roadways.

Their evacuation protocol for rescuing stranded gondoliers also involves workers climbing from gondola to gondola along the cable, then helping passengers get lowered down to the ground by a rope. I don’t think that method would go over so well in Disney. Imagine anyone in an ECV being lowered to the ground by a rope. (Think of all of those tiny lawsuits) It’ll be quite advantageous to have the cabins easily accessible by a cherry picker if the need to evacuate arises.
