So excited seeing all the photos from the soft opening...I can't wait to go in December! The only question I have is how come there isn't any Little Mermaid merchandise for sale? I haven't seen any in the photos posted, but there seems to be TONS of Beauty and the Beast merch...surely Disney wouldn't miss out on selling Journey of the Little Mermaid souveneirs, right? Are there plans to build a store for this part of the expansion?

Thanks!

Yes the store will be on the backside of Seven Dwarf's Mine Train, facing Mermaid. It is not yet built, and there is no Mermaid attraction specific merchandise currently available.

I actually saw, and I could've sworn it was in the official Disney Blog, a whole slew of new Little Mermaid merchandise available. I thought it was maybe in Sir Mickey's or the shop across from it? I'm looking!!! LOL!

EDIT: Ok it wasn't the official blog, it was another site, that doesn't play nicely with this one so I can't post the picture. But... it was pictures of a huge wall of new Ariel shirts and merchandise. :D

Yes, it's at Sir Mickey's. Here's some of it. There are also two pins.

I'm sure they'll find a way to open the mermaid shops before 2014, the buildings being built are behind the Mine Train and should be easy to access from the area that's currently open

I would assume however that the merchandise they have at Sir Mickey's now is probably what you'll see at the official shop when it's there. There is even attraction specific merchandise in there.

That dinglehopper is awesome. This is what I wanted to see. Themed merchandise. It's one of the ways WWOHP raised the bar. Hope there's more like this. But I refuse to look at Bonjour gifts spoilers. ;)

LOVE the dinglehopper. :)

There is a ton of Ariel stuff throughout WDW. It isn't like people can't get Ariel stuff without a dedicated shop for it. If you want stuff, its out there. :)

A lot of the merch is attraction-specific. I know at least one of the shirts is, the keychain is, the cups and coffee mug are, the bags and hat are, and the dinglehoppers at least have a tag on them (but still have the Broadway logo molded on). Beware of the green travel mug, though! It's $20.00 and it says Ariel's Undersea Adventure. Everything else says Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid. I would have bought the travel mug if it had the correct attraction on it.
