New castle show Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire to open this summer at the Magic Kingdom

Nice to see Princess and the Frog and Tangled get some recognition, but I wish it wasn't in the form of another obnoxious stage show. Judging by the concept art, not only are they keeping the crappy looking gold arches on the stage, but it looks like they're adding even more crap to it. I would be somewhat forgiving of another stage show if they just toned down the stage to its original form. Disneyland Park doesn't need a castle stage show, so why does MK? When will TDO learn?
Disneyland Paris also has a stage show but is located past the entrance. At least the tent is gone.

Since Mickey is a magician at his meet & greet, wearing this costume for the show, has another one for the daytime parade, themed attire for his respective restaurant appearances, Sorcerer at DHS - is there any place where people can see him (or any of the Fab 5) in "traditional" clothes?

Well if they want to save money, they shouldn't do one at all. That way, there won't be a show blaring down Main Street. But if they still want to spend the money, they should invest it in running the Main Street vehicles and the spontaneous town square/hub character meet and greets. Would it kill them to make the right decision?
The Main Street vehicles run everyday - usually 5 different ones are out running daily. Even the omnibus is back, they refurbed all of them a few years ago. Even popping out at night as seen here last week:

I know that they still run, but they don't run as long as they used to or as long as they do currently at DL. Same thing with the walk around characters. I always thought that if they got rid of the castle show and the dance party parade, they could put the money elsewhere and enhance the park as well as bring certain elements back to their proper states.its great to hear that they're running them at night again though.

They don't run as long because of the amount of crowds that pack the magic kingdom. If it wasn't for those crowds they would out longer, I don't see that as a money saving cut.

Well that and the shows. That's why I'm thrilled with the way the DHS redo sounds. Not only will it be a full day park, but it will bring more balance to the resort and hopefully help restore wrongfully removed elements of the kingdom. Even though it's also an often crowded park, DL has maintained many of its elements better than MK. Well, that's been the case aside from when they decided to implement Star Wars Land of course.
