Buena Vista International's The Chronicles of Narnia achieved the biggest ever opening in the UK for a Disney film, earning just over £8m in its first three days.
The movie entered the chart at the top spot, dethroning Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which had occupied the slot for three weeks, and exceeding the first weekend takings of the previous Disney record-holder, Toy Story 2.
