I was lucky enough to be able and see the last performance of this great parade! Of course everything started out normal, I stood by a crowd of performers who werent scheduled to be in the parade that night, they were having a great time screaming and chanting the words to the parade! When the parade finally got to where I was it was better than ever!!! The performers were hugging former performers and family as well as coming into the crowds more, the puppeteers were running up and down the parade route and appeared to be having a great time! The second show was a little different, I stood by Morocco, the very end of the very last parade. By the time the performers made it down to where I was they were in tears yet still putting on the best show ever and as every puppet went into the back they had an awesome applause. When the last Dream Catcher float came the cheers and applause were so lound I couldn't even hear the Dream Seakers, and I was standing right next to a speaker! A few people had signs saying Tapestry of Dreams, will never be forgotten, or there was one (or should I say three) that all said Dream On! Finally as the Dream seakers went in for the last time, one drummer came out and bowed as all the others were standing in the background with many of the puppets. Tonight is a night I dont think I will ever forget, and neither will many of the people who saw it! I still hope to one day see this parade winding through the World Showcase Promenade! Seeing this parade tonigh gave me a new appreciation (I know that is way wrong, but I dont care) for how much many of the performers in this parade cared about their jobs and trying their best to just make someone smile, I know they made me tonight, of course after the occasional tear!
