I had been to disney world about 5 times prior to this visit. It was my girlfriends first time there and all she wanted to do was go on the haunted mansion because ever since she was little all her friends said how neat it was. Naturally i wanted to give her the full magical expierience so that was the first thing we did after chacking in at the hotel.
We had made it into the park early in the afternoon and it was a pretty slow day so there wasnt much of a line for the ride walked past the main gate without any problems. Now im very excited at this point and so is she and im pointing out all the cool little details that those disney folks are great with and as im pointing out Tom Sawyer island i feld like my leg had been hit by a small truck. i look down and there was a green fire hydrant ( i think thats how its spelled) anyway it was green, it was steel and it hurt. now i first tried to play it off all suave. but deep down i was in paine, like bullet wound pain. my girlfriend had asked if i wanted to go back to the hotel or to firs aid but i insisted on her going on that ride. well to make a long story a little less long, we got on the ride and as soon as the air conditioning hit my knee it felt like there were frozen icepicks plunging into me. i had a small lump about the size of a golf ball sticking out of it for the whole 7 days we were there and we did alot of walking.
Knee still hurts sometimes but it was all worth it
