Not to orient it to kids but i think it would be interesting if one of the most popular fantasy creatures from disney would be your guide: Figment.
I still am keeping the good-evil divisions with Figment trying to warn you of danger in the evil half but he just drops it and tags along. For the dragon E-ticket, it would keep the bat plot which figment would explain. The ride's setting would be a castle built into a mountain side. You would start blasting through caverns, nearly crashing into stalagtites. It would slow down a bit and figment sees if you're okay. You enter a ruined banquet hall and thrill starts up again when flames start coming from the walls. It settles down as you enter the dragon's lair through a hole in the wall(Figment is holding the keep door shut, a clever tribute to the Tales of terror section of the original JII) You see a 40 foot growling, ill tempered dragon about to barbeque you. It becomes a thrilling chase as the dragon's flame nearly burns you. The bats got some of the treasure, but the dragon won't let them get away with it. Figment, too exhausted to fly, is climbing a wall and he knocks a sword into the dragon's snout, which kills the evil dragon by cutting off it's breathing. You return to the loading station and recieve a plastic gold coin, your share of the dragon's treasure. You then find a horror of horrors...... a gift shop!!!!
More later.....

Whew,when I meant later, I mean't LATER!
Here's the other attraction:Escape from the Minotaur, a EMV featuring beasts from greek legends.
Quest for the Unicorn,a gentle dark ride with Figment leading a mythic safari searching for the unicorn. You encounter Griffins, dragons, fairies, and finally you find a unicorn.Preride entertainment includes figment singing the unicorn song.
The Griffin is a family coaster where you ride on a griffin through a journey going around the beastly kingdom.

First off, Figment is not a mythological creature. He's just a mascot for a ride and a figment of your imagination. The other ideas sound good.
