Thanks for sharing that, Buddy. I didn't watch the Tonys, but I kept wondering why they had the show in the first place, after such long lockdowns (due to Covid, etc.). The article gave some insights. Thank you.
(Side note: perhaps the award show was also aired in prime time TV, to remind viewers that Broadway was opening up again -- some good advertisement for the theater industry. I imagine some people will buy theater tickets for presents, during the upcoming holiday season.)
