Well, ever since @JokersWild and @MANEATINGWREATH did some digging and found Visions Fantastic once again, I've been looking through some memories of days gone by. And despite the fact that it's an Imagineering forum, MEW posted a thread for all of us musical theater geeks.

So, I decided that it would be fun to bring this thread back. As @MANEATINGWREATH put it, this is "a thread dedicated to all you musical theater fans out there where we can openly discuss theater in general, roles and show we've been in and or participating in, and all other manner of theatrical information."

~EDIT (as of October 9th, 2015)~

I'll start off by listing all of the shows I've performed in...

Annie (Ensemble)
Peter Pan (Mr. Smee)
Seussical (Jojo)
Godspell (Ensemble)
The Little Mermaid (Flounder)
Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka (Candy Man)
Hello, Dolly! (Rudolph)
Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere)
Once Upon a Mattress (Minstrel)
The Addams Family (Lurch)
White Christmas (Ralph Sheldrake)
Carousel (David Bascombe)

And as for shows I've seen (either local or professional)...

Annie (National Tour)
Godspell (National Tour)
The Addams Family (Regional Production)
The Producers (National Tour) (in November)

This isn't really relevant to Imagineering. Maybe you should post it in the Chit Chat section of the forum?
Completely agree. @The Mom, could you maybe move this to Chit Chat? Sorry for the bother.

But, as a fellow musical theater actor, this sounds like a fun thread.

Mary Poppins (Broadway)
The Lion King (Tour)
Wicked (Broadway)
Matilda (Broadway)

I've never actually been in a musical. My middle school did Mulan, but I was in WDW when the shows were during that time. And then in high school, they did two shows when I was there, but quite honestly, I had no time to do them. And my college is too small to do many musicals. When I was in chorus, we did a Les Mis medley, which was fun.

I've seen:
Beauty and the Beast (x2)
Lion King (x2)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Mary Poppins

Would love to see more. I'm young, so I've got some time yet. ;)

I've seen a few musicals over the years. ;) A couple of my favorites were Promises, Promises with the late Jerry Orbach (in 1969) and both Phantom and Les Miserables with Colm Wilkinson. (In Toronto - we lived there for a year, and go back every few years)
I was able to see Colm play Phantom is Toronto as well. He was fantastic, I wish I had been able to see him play Jean Valjean, too.

I saw the N.Y. City production of Cats (years ago--fantastic costumes, makeup, actors, voices, and great sets)

Also, I've seen Fosse (N.Y City again)

Lastly, I've seen Spamalot (yup, N.Y. City yet again)!! I think that qualifies as a musical; it was a comedy, but they had some musical numbers in it. :)

Interesting thread.

Some of my favorites I've seen (Broadway, London and touring)

Cats
Starlight Express
Les Mis
Miss Saigon
Phantom (w/Crawford and Brightman)
Love Never Dies (Phantom Sequel)
Big River
Rocky Horror (w/Joan Jett and Dick Cavat)
Spamalot
The Producers
Wicked (original cast)

Honorable Mention:
Not a musical, but Speed the Plow with Joe Mantegna, Ron Silver and Madonna was perhaps my favorite theatre experience ever. Ralph Finnes doing a 45min monologue in Faith Healer wasn't bad either...

Just to blend Disney into this thread, Disney's newest musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame just began performances at Paper Mill Play Playhouse, prior to what many think is an anticipated Broadway run. Here is a clip:

We used to be season membership holders for the Broadway Series in Cincinnati at the Aronoff. We have seen a great deal of shows over 5 plus years. Have not been to New York yet but plan on it.

My daughter, also a member on this forum, has been in a good number of plays in High School but I will let her reply to that if she wishes.

My big claim to fame was Papa Bell in the Damon Road 5th grade Holiday Musical. . .

Great thread! Glad I found it!

Anyone who knows me personally would know that I make my living as a professional stage actor. I've been doing it since I was nine and I can't think of another profession I'd ever love.

As to my resume...lol...it's not one I'd put entirely here as it would not be anything folks on the boards would want to read. However here some of my favorite shows/roles;

As an actor:
How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (J Pierpont Finch)
Lucky Stiff-twice (Harry Witherspoon)
Promises, Promises (Chuck Baxter)
The Forienger (Charlie)
Forever Plaid-three times (Sparky)
Next to Normal (Dan Goodman)
The Rocky Horror Show-twice (Riff Raff)
The Producers (Leo Bloom)
Rent (Mark)
Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog (Dr. Horrible)
Shrek the Musical! (Pinocchio)
The Odd Couple (Felix Unger)
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Panch)
Evita (Magaldi)
Bonnie and Clyde (Buck Barrow)
The Fantastics! (Matt)

As a director:
The Producers
Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike
Urinetown
Rent
