I've got mixed feelings on this one.

I'm excited for the main film upgrades, but apprehensive about the pre-show changes. Very apprehensive.

What could possibly go wrong?

Yea, exactly.

It's just that preshow is the epitomy of the Muppets. It's perfect. I don't see why they feel it's necessary to mess with perfection.

Still, I'm hoping for the best.:)

I am a little, but since Disney has been coming out with new material for the Muppets, has any of it failed? Simply put, no. So that's why I am having faith that they know what they are doing and it will be filled with just like the current edition of the pre-show.

You forgot about the whole Wizard of Oz/Muppets debacle, huh? :brick:

Wouldn't it be cool to have a live Muppet pre-show? Nothing wrong with the current one, and I love it. But it would also be cool to have a little skit in the front of the queue/waiter area where the Swedish Chef comes out and does a skit... then the pre-show continues. It would require some Muppeteers, which means more people to pay, so I doubt that would happen.

Some minor changes will probably be made in the pre-show, such as updating Kodak's logo. I'm hoping they don't change it drastically though.

Can't wait for the digital projection! :D

I totally agree with this. Other things in WDW could use a change. This is not one of them.

I am sure that the digital projection and improvements to the theater itself will be great, though.

It was reported awhile ago that a new preshow film was shot and that it would be implemented "soon", along with Disney Digital 3D.

Understatement of the day. If they just update certain portions (the roll on paint fish scene comes to mind) and leave the classic scenes (The 3 D's, Sam Eagle/Rizzo, Gonzo dancing with flowers balanced on his head), then that's fine.

But yes right now I'm scared to death about changing the preshow. It's one of the single best things you will see on your WDW vacation.

Not old, just vintage.
*crosses fingers that they don't do anything stupid to the pre-show*

I seriously hope they just dust off the props and install some flat screen TVs. Hopefully they will fix the broken theater effects too. I'm glad that the next time I get to see it will be after the refurb has taken place.

I said the new material they've been coming out with, meaning the stuff in the past year or so.

That was part of the "new material" Disney came out with after purchasing the Muppets.

Thanks for clarifying that you meant the stuff they have came out with in the last year or so. I'm sorry I misinterpreted what you meant.

Perfect timing!! :D Everything is coming together for the summer.

I'm optimistic, and I LOVE that preshow. I think it'll be OK, though. Disney has a had a good thing with the Mupps lately.

If I were to list the top 5 things that you must see at WDW, I would put the MV3D preshow on that list. The main show is fantastic and is extremely quoteable, but the preshow is special.

I don't trust Disney with many things, but they really "get" the Muppets. From the Bohemian Rhapsody to the shorts like "Topo Sticky" and the "elevator" skits are REALLY great. This'll be an awesome upgrade!
