Muppets Mini-Land / Muppets Courtyard Additions & Refurbishments

It still needs something. They must agree using the vertical banners trying to take up some extra space. Something in the upper portion of the building facade.

This was honestly what I was expecting when it was first mentioned on here that there would be a new theater marquee. The fact that they spent money on a new sign and DIDN'T use some variation on the Muppet Theater as inspiration is why I'm concerned about what will become of the building.

Well when One Mans Dream goes I wonder where they will show the movie previews? I know not of future plans for Muppet Courtyard but the marquee looks easy to change.

If I was to compare the two new signs against each other on their own, I think the new one is far nicer. However, it just doesn't work with the building. As has already been pointed out, the scale is off, but also it's just two completely different art styles altogether. The sign looks like something you would find in the Old Hollywood front half of the park, while the theater has a New York architecture style. Hopefully there is more facade updating throughout the land that will make Muppet Courtyard look much more like its part of Hollywood and not NY anymore.

The new marquee seems a lot less permanent than the old one... like they pan on showing things besides Muppet Vision 3D in this theater

Let's not just have movie previews at all. Period . There a cheap way for now to draw people in as there's a lot of construction going on in the studios but when toy story and star wars opens i dont find it necessary to have movie previews as there will be much more to do in 2019 than there is now

Agreed. It was one thing when the previews for Maleficent and GOTG used the Sounds Dangerous theater and that space had no purpose at the time and just sat empty. I was peeved when they started doing previews in OMD, but at least the theater was simply one component of the attraction at large. But if we reach the point where we have previews in the Muppevision theater and have to close down 100% of an existing attraction to show a film trailer, I will have given up.

I have no problems with the movie previews, as long they aren't displacing an attraction. Once Star Wars opens, I expect the Sounds Dangerous/Path of the Jedi theater will be available again, though, so that should be OK.

What NEEDS To be done is this...Once SWL Opens they can remove the Fan-Boy Youtube Video show retheme this as The Walt Disney Pictures Preview Center

THEN! Get rid of the Stupidly put "Xbox Game Port" and put the Movie props, items and mini-shop that reflect the movie they are previewing in the Post show area....No one plays Infinity since it's a dead concept...

So, there'll be no changes to the exterior of the Muppetvision building apart from this new marquee? Oh well... that's bizarre.

In all honesty, the sign could be a little larger but it looks fine to me. The more concerning thing is it's obvious why they named it the way they did and to me the idea of a theater housing movie previews is one of the lamest theme park "attractions" I can think of.

You'd think they would have used the pop out Statue of Kermit that was used at DCA for their marquee..But, it looks like it's being used at the Henson Studios..

I thought of this too. I'm really hoping they end use this to fill up the massive amount of dead space on the building. Remember, there's still a label scar where the old sign was so it's likely not completed yet.

This Kermit was actually there before the DCA attraction closed down, so this one is unrelated to the one that used to hang over in DCA.

Ah, I wasn't sure if it was the same one...I thought they may have gave it to the Henson Studio at first...If that's the case maybe there's hope for them to use it...

I think the new signage looks good, just needs something above to fill that ugly damaged empty space. However I personally think Muppetvision needs a new Muppet film, it's old, tired and dated and needs refreshing. I've never been that big of a fan of it from the get go.
