I've always been interested in looking at some of the older maps of Walt Disney World. I find it pretty cool to bring back all the memories of reading those maps and rushing over to Body Wars...okay that never happened but still.:ROFLOL:

Does anyone have any Xtinct maps they would like show?

My favorite extinct Disney map of all time is the one from the resorts back in the 70's and 80's.

I was there in 1986 and recall getting a map of the MK that opened up into a decent sized poster. It was in a hand drawn style, almost suitable for framing.

Anyone have images of that? Or am i dreaming?

I have that one, plus one for Fort W and one from DL in 1971. Unfortunately, my scanner won't accept 3' x 5'.:lol:

Awesome link.. I've never seen that on here before.. I can't even imagine how many times I've read those 89 and 90's maps.. Every trip on the way to Disney we would end up stopping at one of the service plaza's on I-95 and I would always stock up on my maps and read them on the way.

Possibly a little off-topic, but does anyone know what year they started using the illustrations they have in the current guidemaps?

I'm pretty sure AK never had the old style map (the basic solid color drawings you can see in the gallery), so that means 1998 at the latest.
