I've been up since 5am :hammer: perusing the internet and came across this:

Anyone remember Mother Goose Stories? Episodes aired on the Disney Channel in the early 1990s. I used to adore them! What wonderful memories.

They unfortunately came out between my children - my daughter was 7 in 1990, and my son wasn't born yet.

I do remember a special that had Shelly Duvall as Little Bo Peep, with ZZ Top as the Three men In a Tub, Bobbie Brown as one of the Three Blind Mice, etc.

And Disney showed a musical that had Christopher Walken as Puss In Boots - Now that was strange.

They also aired a Puss N Boots variation that was set in New Orleans.

Oooh I also believe you're thinking of Faerie Tale Theatre which was hosted by Shelley Duvall and featured a famous actor in each episode. LOVED that as well-I own the entire series box set

I was thinking of the movie, Rock n' Rhyme. I Googled it, and found that it was shown on the Disney Channel in 1990, so must have still been shown as a repeat when my son was an infant/toddler. It had Paul Simon as Simple Simon, etc

This was in addition to Faerie Tale Theatre.
