Most Beautiful Thing WDI has ever done . . . ?

I think the arch over the main entrance road is the most beautiful sight, after an 18 hr drive, you know you've finally reached the "MAGIC" gates!!!, :sohappy: but the wife says the gardens anywhere in WDW are the best.

Second the great thread, but it's a tough one.

I would say SSE is one of the most beautiful because of the engineering and simply how timeless it is. Space Mountain has a similar feeling.

From a totality situation, I think Horizons had some of the most beautiful scenes created.

I think that BTMRR's mountain is one of the most realistic creations and really, especially when lit up at night, blends the fantasy and reality very well.

As for the show attractions, AA is just an amazing blend of theater, especially in light of the music and combination of presentation methods.

If I had to pick one thing, though, I would have to go with I:ROE. I think it was pretty close to entire execution. Everything is top notch, but it, like all of WS, gets its power from the combination and general concept. When the music swells after the multi-colored light dance and the gold fireworks explode showing the countries lit up together and the globe showing the topographic map, that is true beauty (rivaled, perhaps, only by the pearl lights at the finale).

EDIT: I realize that this technically may not meet the "made by WDI" standard. So, this might have to drift into the most beautiful Disney creation. WDI, I would stick with SSE.

The original JII, Haunted Mansion and Pirates for sheer craftsmanship and quality and Spaceship Earth's current musical score, especially the powerful climactic music.

Great thread!
I tried to think of one thing in particular that moves me to tears. Music, mostly does that to me. So I would have to pick the song "America, Spread your Golden Wings" from the American Adventure. That does it every time.

Soarin's Soundtrack and Everest's frontside of the mountain and its waterfalls are b-e-a-u-tiful!

visually (part 1): Cinderella's Castle and Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant

visually (part 2): World Showcase; I just love everything about it

musically: RoE and the soundtrack from SSE

OMG! So difficult because everything the imagineers touch is art.

I'm blown away that The Animal Kingdom was built on cattle land...flat cattle land.

They created a world and with the help of some hard working people...planted every bush...every flower...they dug lakes...made levels of land...built bridges...built a whole new world...a continent.

So when you're crossing over that bridge and looking out at the lake...at the folige...remember...that wasn't there once upon a time.

and the fact that they paid a premium price for authentic mining tools and items that you made see for a split second...

you and I probably wouldn't even care or realize this fact...

but Disney cares...

I think that the queues (Left and Right) in WDW Pirates of the Carribean are the greatest theatrical teasers in history. They totally immerse you in a fantasy world and serve to excite you for the story you are about to be told.

I LOVE that!

I was so blown away by this ride the first time I went to Disney....

I love Epcot and many things there would get my vote for beautiful American parks, but I have to say Tokyo DisneySea just went way beyond my wildest expectatons. :)

Hands down for me: Soarin' (over California)...from first take-off to touch down, this is the most beautiful creation for me from the Imagineers

The Adventurer's Club... Pleasure Island.

It's the perfect theming from a visual perspective. You feel like you've entered 1937. The characters are perfect, and the atmosphere is pure magic.

It brings you in and makes you feel at home.

The songs and jokes and skits are hilarious, and well written. And the regulars are amazing.

That's it for me. The best part of property.

I think Cinderella's castle is the most beautiful. Every time I see it, it takes my breath away. None of the other castles have quite the same effect on me. It's symbolic of the start of our WDW vacation. Whether it's reflecting the brilliant Florida sun or changing colours amidst fireworks at night nothing could me more beautiful.

The first thought that came to my mind was walking into the Wilderness Lodge at the start of a vacation and feeling the blast of cold air and smelling that Disney smell (I always think the air there just smells different), and just knowing that you're finally there! I also love BTMRR at night, especially when the fireworks are going off as you reach the crest of the hill.

I once saw this plastic bag...floating in the air...it was the most beautiful thing that I had ever seen....

Then a Disney sweeper grabbed it and through it in the trash:cry:

Seriously, I have to say that I was thouroughly enthralled with the queue to Expedition Everest. The detail is just amazing, and there is so much to keep you occupied while you wait.
