There was a hostess standing there yesterday. I asked when it will be open and she said September 30. I was hoping she would tell me to come right on in!Photo update as of Thursday, September 24. A temporary opening in the construction wall leading to the entrance of Morimoto Asia has appeared across from Raglan Road. Seen here blocked by boxed planters, this will probably be used for invited guest/soft openings until the construction wall is removed next week. Seating on the outdoor second level has been installed, with covered umbrellas (white covers). STK construction appears in the background.

It has been really tight getting done by Sep 30, so I don't expect any soft opens. Media night is the 29, with guests on the 30.There was a hostess standing there yesterday. I asked when it will be open and she said September 30. I was hoping she would tell me to come right on in!
There haven't been soft openings, but they've already had test nights. Lots of photos on Instagram of people dining inside. It has been really tight getting done by Sep 30, so I don't expect any soft opens. Media night is the 29, with guests on the 30.
Yes lots of test meals with cast. There haven't been soft openings, but they've already had test nights. Lots of photos on Instagram of people dining inside.
It looks amazing inside! Can't wait to see it for myself (and to see how different it looks from Mannequins).Yes lots of test meals with cast.
Maybe its because I am living in London, but there is nothing exciting about that menu. Why is Fillet steak even on there, its not an asian dish! (rhetorical question, I know its on there as some people will always want steak no matter where they eat).
I love some of the asian food chain restaurants we have over here such as Wagamama (http://www.wagamama.com/our-menu) or Busaba (http://www.busaba.com/food) which offer great Japanese and Thai food and a combo of these sorts of menus is closer to what I was expecting.
Maybe this shows what he thinks of the Orlando crowd...I sort of agree. What's there is fine, but nearly all the entrees seem "safe" for lack of a better term. I expected a bit more creativity from something bearing Morimoto's name. His Philadelphia restaurant menu is more in line with what I thought we'd see for the Disney Springs location.

I understand there will be.Is there a kids menu?
Let's be honest- is he wrong?Maybe this shows what he thinks of the Orlando crowd...
Not at all... especially considering the size of the restaurant. It's the safe way to go for any tourist destination tbh. Again though, when you have a restaurant this size and you are serving Asian cuisine (something not all American's eat), you need to appeal to the masses as much as possible.Let's be honest- is he wrong?
