No you’re not able to. The tower is oriented toward the Smuggler’s Run half of GE and Toy Story Land.
You don’t need to get on a ride to see a lot though. Unlike Cars and TA, the way DHS is built makes it very easy to see what they’re doing from inside the park and out. The Grand Avenue work is very visible above the wall and you can see the whole coaster site from the parking lot.

I disagree and think what they're doing is giving us a series of reveals. The planters are shown with good sized trees in the concept art, and playing with the new angle of the entry, we won't see much until we're at the gate, except for the main tower which could act as a weenie. The Pizza Restaurant and Glob theater will reveal itself along with the plaza, fountain, and more of Monstropolis proper. From the fountain, Harryhausen's should catch the eye leading us on to the big reveal of the factory looming in the distance.
This is pretty typical of Disney's approach to building a land lately. They entice us along to a bigger reveal whereas Universal's approach seems to be quite the opposite- giving us the best shot right at the entry point.
As Blog Mickey speculates, I'd love it if the empty facades were either fitted out fully, or fully demolished as it's a wasted location and a prime one at that.

So do we think the angled entryway means Grand Ave. is glowing away eventually? Would they be opening a new pathway from whatever land replaces Indy and Star Tours to join up with the back of Monstropolis?

I'm not sure if it would go away because or Baseline and Sci-fi not wanting to be at a dead end. I think the angled entrance means that anybody walking from Galaxy's Edge is more drawn into Monsters than what used to happen with Muppet Vision where they could walk past without much notice of what was in Muppets Courtyard

You know…. Sci-fi could easily get a monsters theme and they could tie in that whole section to monsters if they wanted.

They likely are setting the entry back at an angle because they expect the sign to be a big photo spot, and if they leave it parallel and abutted right up to the main thoroughfare, it would likely cause excess congestion.

I was even thinking of “classic monster” movies - like do a parody of them? Make them look like an old drive in black and white movie.
