No kids know who Aerosmith is either. This is essentially a lateral move to something with more relevance to ppl on a Disney Vacation and a better merchandising opportunity.

It's a cheap retheme for probably a fairly big boost to interest in the ride. It makes sense on paper. It's just not a bombastic expensive retheme. It's kinda refreshing to see them do this
yeah, noone under 20 knows who aerosmith is, I loved them back in the 80s/90s but they havent been relevant in decades, plus the whole Steven Tyler being a creep thing...

Dis twitter acting like this is the end of the world. Everything has its time. Muppets isn’t pulling it’s capacity to fill it’s theatre. Pizza Rizzo is the largest QSR in the park and operates half the day. Mamma Melrose. Shuttered shops. It is time. I will not be responding.
Sure it does, and like I said before, if THIS was phase 2, I wouldn't care. People are way more upset because this is happening when you have a much more run down shell of a place sitting across the park that we are going to hope gets fixed 8 years from now.

No
How many kids even know who the Electric Mayhem Band even are? This is targeted at adults who have nostalgia for the muppets.
High schooler here. When I told my friends about this this morning, they all knew who the Electric Mayhem are. Only a couple had heard of Aerosmith, and even fewer actually liked them.

And where does this leave those of us visiting during Hugh's booming late 2025?

I'm on their records for uptick in bookings. I've paid a deposit for a 16 night deluxe hotel with DDP. And was going to add another 3 nights at a moderate. At this point I feel like I've been exceptionally silly.

We are trading Wallcot for WallWorld. Nearly every park will be behind construction walls the second half of 2025.

I'm completely behind expansion. I'm completely behind (overdue) mantainence (BTMRR for example). But, this is silly. How many rides are going to be out of action during my trip to be replaced with an overlay?

I'm committed to flights to MCO for our visit, but I could let our deposit go and pivot to Universal (if I can convince the kids). I'm very, very tempted after this latest news. And RNRC being added to the rides likely to be out of action.

I actually dont think WDW will be worth a big trip until 29/30.

We were planning a Disney Adventure sailing April 2026. and TDR Summer 2026. Then DLP 27.

But, WDW? Maybe it's a skip. It's really sad.
