Honestly, it wouldn't hurt them to do a massive technical overall on this show after everything else is done with. Disneyland's is in great shape.

Moana officially joined the show October 1, taking Stitch’s place on top and Stitch taking Mulans place.
Moana’s friends were trained back in July, and were able to fill in a few times for Mulan before officially joining the show.
Mulan can fill in for both Tiana and Moana if they can’t make the show.

What are you finding that much different in DL's? I just watched both in person in a span of 7 days and they seemed very similar to me. +2 points for WDW's version for being able to sit, and the snake appearing on stage.
Both shows are definitely similar, but DL's show is by far way more advanced technically. Even before 2.0 opened, their dragon and Mark Twain finale alone make that version superior imo

In addition, Moana also meets during MNSSHP and MVMCP. Rumors have gone around before that her and possibly Maui would be doing meet and greets at Magic Kingdom, but I would assume the rumor is dead.

Interesting. I literally just saw both of them and didn't find anything drastically different. To be fair, I was standing and watching after my 16 hour day at DL and pretty sure I was half asleep.Literally everything at Disneyland's Fantasmic makes ours looks like a low budget high school theatre show

It's way past due for an overhaul. But as long as people keep loving the current FANTASMIC!, I don't see them rushing to do it. They haven't so far
(yeah, they've done a few small upgrades I suppose)Although I haven't seen the new Disneyland Fantasmic in person, I have watched a video. I like a lot of what they did, I like some of what ours does, and I could do without Pirates, it seems like a pointless segment to me and should have stayed Peter Pan at Disneyland. DHS would have been the better place to include Pirates, but we don't have a Pirate boat, so ... lol
There's SO much they can do with the DHS show ... sigh

I agree..But, if they did the Pirates segment it would be different to the DL version using the mountain's advantange similar to how they use it for the Pochantas segement, and have Jack Sparrow duke it out with Davy Jones instead of saving Elizabeth. Even adding a few more villains to the show like Dr facilier singing "friends on the other side" to replace the segment where Genie sings "Friend like me" to take Mickey into the nightmare..It's way past due for an overhaul. Dr Facilier would be a good addition.
Honestly, I'm so up on that character I'd be cool with his replacing the Wicked Queen. Make his role huge. I mean, why not?
While we're adding new scenes, the "Shiny" sequence from Moana could work really well if they present the crab as a multi-person puppet on a rolling base with a raft of lighting effects.
I'm picturing something twice as big as Crush with several people articulating the legs and pushing it back an forth for lateral movement.
