MNSSHP - Nov 1

Another question for you guys: We've got young kids and we're planning to travel on or around Halloween. Potentially, the kids could miss trick or treating this year as a result. We're thinking about going to MNSSHP to make up for that. I know that the party on Halloween is typically packed (or so I hear). So, I'd prefer to avoid that madness (especially at that price).

I believe they typically offer one final event on Nov 1. I'm guessing it's probably not much better than the 10/31 party. Has anyone been on 11/01? Is it a zoo?

My family and I were there last year for MNSSHP on Nov. 1. It was pretty quiet. You could pretty much walk on any ride you wanted, which actually was the case the whole week until the Saturday crowds. Kids had fun trick or treating. One thing I noticed but it wasn't a big deal; They didn't have any 2011 MNSSHP pins out for sale on Nov. 1 that i saw.

Thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear.

I don't want to shell out for the party if it's going to be a madhouse. But I would consider it if it's going to be as you described.

The pins are a non-factor for me. The point would be to let the kids trick-or-treat, maybe see some characters if the lines aren't too bad and to squeeze in some rides. Not sure we'd even watch the parade. We saw it once and while I enjoyed it the kids don't really care for parades. The fireworks would be a nice bonus.
