No kidding. 8 games in a 66 game season? Come on. What did that clown think other teams would be doing to the cheaters after none were even touched.
Kelly should be suspended. That’s not up for debate. The longevity of it? It’ll probably be reduced to 5-6. The grandstanders who equate it to a misdemeanor are ridiculous.

The nonsense is he is the first player from that scandal to face an on-field consequence. Absolutely ridiculous.

back when more details came out about the scandal, i thought the players should’ve been suspended & stripped of the title. i would’ve respected the commissioner a lot mire if he had the backbone to do it.

Probably won't matter. I'm not sure the season is still going on after the weekend, especially at the rate players are getting COVID-19.
In my opinion they are not getting the virus because of any interactions at the ballparks. It is highly likely the players who have recently contracted the virus have spent their free time in a less than cautious manner re social distancing. Just a hunch.

I think the source is getting it from outside of the ballpark. I think the rest are getting it from the source, in the ballpark. 19 Marlins players have it. That's because they're all around each other and someone (maybe two) had it.

Well, you shouldn’t need to many smarts to not jeopardize a multimillion dollar pay check, you earn playing a kids game, by making dumb decisions.
It happens all the time though. Amazing.

So Marlins players went bar-hopping, Cardinals players went to casinos... neither errand was even close to being essential, and now the season is in jeopardy due to this lack of willpower and refraining from risky luxuries.

Unbelievable yet somehow not surprising at the same time.
To heck with those of who are staying home as much as possible and were finding these games to be one of the few things to look forward to. Sigh.

Well, 2020 just keeps on giving. This one is gonna hurt.
That was painful to watch unfold.

Between losing Soroka this season while playing the Mets, and that horrific Tim Hudson ankle break against the Mets in 2013... I just gotta ask... @NYwdwfan , what type of voodoo magic are you & your friends doing to our pitching aces??? o_O:facepalm:

I think your aces are just breathing the dysfunctional Mets air and getting caught in the vortex of mayhem.
