This is a sad day people, I attempted to finish the WDW puzzle I bought at the WL in Sept and I am missing 1 piece!!!!

I started it last month and kept in a corner of my lounge and only did bits of it at weekends, it's a lovely cartoon picture of all elements of the parks and I was going to glue it together and place it in a frame to hang on the wall.

During my irresponsible storage of said puzzle one piece has obvious walked off! I'm not a happy bunny! It couldn't have happened to a generic puzzle I was going to break up and take to a charity shop, no it had to be the one I got from the happiest place on earth and was going to lovingly display!!!!! :(

Any sympathy that can be offered will be much appreciated, even better if anyone could send me the piece just below the top right corner. Thanks!

Do you have a photo of the puzzle? My mother in law lost a piece of a puzzle I got her last year - it would fit the description of your puzzle. If it's the same I'd be happy to send you the corner piece!!

Did you consider that Dave ran off with one piece to be the one to put in the last piece of the puzzle? My husband did that with the puzzle of Rockefeller Plaza at Christmas that we were working on when we had no power.

Ha ha! Dave's not a puzzle person but I'm quite willing to blame him for it being missing though!

I can't upload pics on my IPad, no access to the laptop at the moment, the box of the puzzle looked like an old fashioned book not a conventional box if that helps! I wouldn't expect you to ship a bit of cardboard across the Atlantic but that's a lovely thought, thanks!

Naughty puzzle! I've got one of those puzzle storers that look like a briefcase, I should have just closed it up every time i'd finished with it to stop the pieces playing up! ;) It's still in there so I've closed it and will try to forget about it for now! Thanks Deb :)

Step 1- Secure a thick, sturdy piece of cardboard.
Step 2- Carefully carve the missing shape on the cardboard with an Exacto knife.
Step 3- Color a matching design onto the newly carved piece.
Step 4- Place the newly carved and painted piece onto puzzle.
Step 5- Sit back, relax, and listen to others as they lavish you with praise for you ingenuity.
Step 6- Throw said puzzle at those who ask, "Why did you go through all that trouble for a puzzle?"

@NYwdwfan The only way I can show a photo of the puzzle at the moment is to send it on Twitter, I've just sent a pic, I'm named MIssDTS

It's hard to see the missing piece, it the 3rd piece down from the top right!

Lol! Thanks, I am quite arty so that doesn't sound impossible actually! I will attempt that once my frustration dies down! Great idea!

Oh darn - it's not the same puzzle! Mine is practically the same design but without the monorail. It looks like the missing piece is just sky and clouds so (and I can't believe I'm saying this) I would agree with rsoxguy's recommendation to fabricate a piece!! I love doing puzzles and have lost many pieced along the way so I definitely feel your frustration!!

I found it on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Walt-Disney...940?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c2d026504

It looks like it came with a printed sheet of what the finished puzzle looks like - did yours come with this? Is it the same size as the puzzle? May make creating the piece even easier!
Thanks for your help anyway! Yes, the one on eBay is the one I've got and it has got the small picture, I will TRY and make my own piece! I think I will leave it till after Christmas when I'm feeling positive about a new year!!!

I tried steps 1-4 once, but my son the puzzle fanatic was not impressed with the results. I'm not much of an artist. We ended up buying a 2nd copy of the same Disney puzzle.

Why don't you INTENTIONALLY make the "re-make" of the missing piece stand out?? What a conversation starter you would have on display!!

How about leaving it out with the meaning that YOU are the missing piece of the Disney puzzle since you are not there????? or something along those lines :)

I.E. "What's missing? WE ARE!"
